This was the first time that I used Hire A Helper (it won't be my last).l My service provider, Movers & Helpers, was great! The crew arrived on time and they worked efficiently. They loaded the contents of a storage unit into a 16-foot moving truck. I provided moving blankets and bubble wrap and they did the rest. I would use them again and I would recommend them to anyone that is moving in the Baton Rouge area. I wish I had known about them on my daughter's previous moves!!

3 weeks ago we had to move my daughter out of her apt and put everything in storage. We had Tyrell, Brad and Cam. I requested them again to mover her back in to her new place. They were so exceptionally nice and very respectful with our things. They are super nice kids doing hard work. If she moves again I want these kids helping us again. Fantastic service.

1. We're they on time? They were not on time; they were more than an hour late.
2. Were they prepared for the job? They were not well prepared. Initially they appeared ready for some basic unloading the furniture out of the pod. But when it came to taking out the appliances, they indicated that they were not equipped in connecting the appliances. They struggled with bringing my refrigerator trying to force it through a door that was too small. The previous movers and helpers from hire a helper did not have any problems with getting it through the doors, they got it through the door by taking off the refrigerator doors and getting it through both entrances. In fact they left it in one of my rooms without bringing into kitchen. They had trouble reassembling my bed. They scratched up my furniture, new kitchen cabinet drawer, my walls I had just done.They scuff up my doors.
3. Did they work hard? Yes, they appeared to work hard, but they were just not experienced movers.
4. Were they respectful of your property and goods? They attempted to be, but they were not experienced movers.
5. Would you use them again? No!

While our crew is trained for general moving tasks, including loading and unloading, we do not typically disassemble or reconnect appliances as per our service terms. They called early to let me know exactly what time they would be arriving. As soon as they arrived they took a look through my house to plan how they would load my trailer. And then they immediately got to work. They did an excellent job and packed everything safely. I would use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of moving assistance.

Customers can expect a call within 24 hours to make sure all details of the move are squared away.

Our movers will give you a call when they are on the way, bring professional equipment, and stay with you till your move is complete.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Customers can best prepare for moving day by making sure as much packing is done as possible. Packing really takes up the most time on a move and if everything is boxed and ready to go, you can really save yourself a lot of time.

What training do you provide your crew members?
All crew members must go through the Movers and Helpers training Program. This program takes 3 months to complete. This is why Movers and Helpers has the best labor only moving service in all of southern Louisiana. Our Reviews speak for themselves.
