A positive experience- These guys were great! They were pro-active the week before, providing me confirmation of their visit. They were in touch that morning to manage the the time and help keep my stress low. They were very professional and quick, and handled all my items with care. John Gymm called confirm they'd likely be up to 2 hours late. we spoke for 8 minutes discussing an elder who needed help moving her stuff into a pod AND emptying her space for repairs!. We filled the pod in 45 minutes but the workers refused to help further stating they were only instructed to "fill the pod". Poor management, okay packing but eSily angered workers. When questioned, John said he "don't do refunds and if I had issues to call hire a helper! " Very funny but in no way helpful! Hire a helper is a coordinating service not a business provider!
Best part is that workers claimed they'd help us finish the job, but they sneakily ran, jumped in their car and left with an hour 15 minutes still on the clock! Slick right! an Outstanding Move!
Despite speaking with Johm at length about the need for some labor, all he told workers to do was fill an 8 foot pod.
So if you use this biz and "really need 2 hours work done", PLEASE WRITE a detailed list of every single item, every box, every possible step of each thing you need moved, tossed or touched, .because discussing a job with the owner doesn't translate into receiving workers ready to complete a body of work within a time frame, The men ONLY did what was written in words on the order! Its almost my fault for "assuming" understanding with the owner! When I checked my order, it contained none of the labor particulars John & I discussed at length! it said "pack a pod" & That's all the boys did other than take a pic as professional proof!??
In fact when shown how to take the huge bedpost apart so it fit in the pod, we were threathed that if we kept intererring or offering space use ideas, they would leave without doing it the work at all! In hindsight we should have said ok and let them leave. Some Men in the community witnessed this exchange and helped get the remaining items out of the unit. We bought them a few cases of beer for their cookout and they were very "happy" to HELP an OLD WOMAN! get properly situated!
So much for supporting BOB! I sough out an MBE biz intentionally! Never again! No one should pay $270 for the pleasure of spending an hour with easily offended laborers. Use them but PROCEED with CAUTION.
