The company Northern Star Movers messed up 2 days in a row on scheduling. First day came a day early, 2 nd day truck broke down and they had "no backup plan", 3rd day finally showed up. Charged me for the time it took 2 guys to move me, 7 hours. Cost me $500 more instead of them offering me a discount for the major inconvenience they caused, also lost some family helpers because they ended up moving us on a Sunday. They couldn't stay to help.
The guys they sent were more than helpful, careful, and hard workers. I'm sorry and embarrassed for them. Poor customer service on the back end.

Let me be clear: the guys who showed up to move us were stellar. There was confusion on my part about who would be getting the truck for moving. I thought the Hire A Helper website was a bit misleading in that regard. Anyway, after we cleared that up, their guys, led by Shannon, really busted butt to get us moved. Unfortunately, as sometimes happens, one of our pieces of furniture got damaged. Here's where the trouble started. After discovering the damage, I called Melissa at Northern Star. She told me to file a claim on their website and to upload pictures, all of which I did. It's been over a week and I haven't heard back from them. I've called their number and left messages, but, alas, no one returns my calls. I'm really looking for them to make this right, since in other respects their service was above par.

Great company to hire for moving! I was late getting to the appointment, but the crew of 3 got the job done in under an hour after unloading my 26’ U-Haul. They were all polite and had the Texas hospitality that reminds us of where we come from. Chris and his guys did the best unload under the circumstances. In the future, I’ll use them again for my next move when my lease is up. No moving company that I’ve seen has come close to the professionalism they showed me. Thank you guys for all the help and making my first impression of Burleson a great one.

Matt, Josh, and Benny were excellent movers for us. They showed up on time at the Pods storage facility and quickly loaded our U-Haul truck for us. They followed us to our new apartment and quickly brought everything into our apartment. They were very polite and professional. I would highly recommend them.
