MOVEMASTERS came out today to load our house into two 16' moving containers. The crew arrived right on time (a few minutes early, even) and were friendly and professional right off the bat. I showed them around and they got right to work. They were careful with all of our belongings making sure to use the furniture pads we had provided. Before we knew it they were done! We paid for 3 hours and it only took them 2 1/2. Would absolutely hire again.

After exhaustive research, I chose MoveMasters for my daughter's relocation move. My movers arrived promptly and got right to work. I ordered one helper for 6 hours, hoping to have one able and experienced person to assist me moving some items out of two moving pods that were too large to move myself (and I didn’t want to ask my pregnant wife to do it for obvious reasons).
Instead, 3 people that clearly had 0 experience arrived. One older woman sat in the minivan in the driveway while two teens (?) recklessly threw items around.
I repeatedly attempted to help them move items correctly, eg asking them to not flip boxes over or to be careful with specific items, but my requests seem to fall on deaf ears. They were careless, didn’t listen, and exceptionally slow. Clearly they did not want to be doing this.
Multiple items were dropped, including heaving, expensive electronics (an HK receiver and an Onkyo receiver) potentially causing significant damage. Boxes were constantly flipped over or dropped on their sides. Clean rugs got dirty from mishandling, heavy items leaned against painted drywall, etc.
Just generally reckless and clueless.
I asked them to leave after an hour, seeing that it would be better to do the work myself than risking more possible damage of my items.
Having explained this to the minivan-sitting team manager (?), she wanted to be paid for the full 6 hours, even though only 1 hour of extremely questionable work was done (2 hours if you count the second person that I didn’t ask for). Even during that hour, the I did the majority of the work since the helpers were so slow.
Even after asking them to leave, they initially refused to leave my property and tried to pressure me to sign the authorization for 6 hours.
I refused and had to flat out tell them to leave my property multiple times before they left.
After wasting a ton of time on the phone with hire-a-helper, I ended up paying for 3-4 hours in exchange for not filing a claim (which I’m sure would waste even more time and result in nothing being done).
I would not recommend hiring this team in any circumstance for any move, it really was quite a negative and frustrating experience. Hopefully no items were significantly damaged…

Our crew of 4 was on time and ready to work. These guys unpacked two 16 foot containers and a 8 foot container in 2.5 hours. Impressive. Not a scratch was made on any walls, floors or furniture.

Our customers should wrap all fragile items, including furniture,clean any debris for a clear path to maneuver belongings to the truck or containers, have all boxes packed and ready to be placed on the truck and provide the necessary equipment if not requested from us.
What types of moves have you handled?
We have handled office moves, Freight Trailer loading and unloading, packing containers of various sizes, local and long distance moves.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part of Being an Owner of a Moving Company is to see the Customer's smile and their major sense of comfort knowing their belongings are tight and secure. I also enjoy building relationships with the customers which lead to a numerous amount of referrals.
What training do you provide your crew members?
One on one communication and physically showing the guys how to pick up items carefully and where they should be placed properly on the Loading or Unloading location(s).
