This is the first time we ever used this kind of a service. Ben and "D" were awesome. They were on time and made every minute count. They packed the pod not waisting an inch. Yes we would use them again. I recommend you request these two guys, they know what they are doing. Thanks guys!

These movers were the best. I was impressed with them from the get go. They called in the morning to let me know they were on their way. When the arrived they looked at all of our furniture and household items and told me about how long it would take. They worked like horses. They were always personable and no job was to big for them or to small for them. All my items arrived at the new location safe, no damage, nothing lost. I am going to use them again.

First time I used them, they worked out great, so I tried to use them again. They ran late on three separate occassions and after I called them wondering where they were on all three occassions, they stated that they had a flat tire. So, all three appointments were cancelled. No apology at the time, no notification that they were running late, no nothing. I will never use their services again. Very unprofessional.

very late. their reason : broken down truck, having to use a smaller truck. also gps was broken i believe. only about half of my stuff was moved because it was so late after the first load i just wanted to go to bed. they were respectful of me and my things and they did work hard. however i feel like they needed too much direction.
so other than the fact of them being late and only half my stuff was moved they did a good job

I needed help unloading a moving truck. They had to postpone by a day due to one of their workers being in the hospital, but they called to reschedule well before they were due to arrive. We rescheduled for the next day and they arrived early after calling to make sure it was ok. Once they got here they were very efficient and even finished the job a bit early, despite having 3 flights of stairs to climb. None of my things were damaged and they took care to make sure everything was safe and moved properly. I would use these guys again.

I had a terrible experience with this company. They called me around 9pm the night before and asked if they could push the arrival time back a few hours. When I said that I could not do that, the receptionist was very rude. The next morning they were over an hour late arriving.
Then, the guys who arrived moved so slowly that it was painful to watch. I only needed them to load a few pieces of heavy furniture, but they took hours to move a treadmill, a glass desk, bed, and 2 couches. They definitely milked their hourly rate.
That wasn't even the worst part. The worst part is that they did not have any idea as to how to get to the unload location. Had I known they would be unprepared, I would have mapquested it for them myself. Instead, they insisted on following me the 60+ mile drive. On the freeway they drove under 40 mph the entire time. I had to speed up because it's illegal to drive that slow and I wasn't going to risk being ticketed becuse of them. Semi trucks were passing them, it was that bad. I got to the destination in about an hour in 15 minutes driving under the speed limit. They got there over 2 and a half hours later. They took a wrong exit, got lost, and then finally arrived to unload. And I had to pay for the hours that they were lost due to their own stupidity and irresponsibility.
All in all, it cost me a small fortune and wasn't even worth it. I should have had my crippled father assist with the move instead. He moves faster than those two young men did. I feel ridiculously taken advantage of and I will never hire movers from here again.

J&M filled in when another company I had asked for through "Hire-a-Helper" did not respond to "Hire-a-Helper." I put in my original request on a Tuesday, and on Friday "Hire-a-Helper" contacted me to say they hadn't gotten a confirmation from the first company. "Hire-a-Helper" suggested J&M as a substitute.
So, J&M stepped in with about 24 hours notice. I called J&M to confirm and left a message. I had asked if they could come in the morning, between 8 and 10. I got a call from J&M about 9 saying that they were still working on finding a second person to help (I had asked for two). About an hour-and-a-half later I got a call saying they were on their way. Considering the short notice they got, this was fine as far as I was concerned.
Two folks came, DeAndre and Jonathan. I needed to have them fill up a PODS with a lot of large furniture items I am storing for several months. They worked hard, asked good questions, treated my stuff gently, and did a fine job. I had asked for two hours, and it took them about three, but not because they weren't working every minute. It just took longer than I had projected.
I would definitely hire them again.

This was second of two moving assignments fulfilled by J&M Moving via HireAHelper. Two movers came to put back furniture that had been moved in preparation for a carpet removal and installation on 2nd floor of our home. Much of the moving this time involved bringing things up a flight of stairs including some heavy stuff. There was also some bed/desk re-assemby. Job was done quickly and carefully.

I had used J & M Moving last time I moved and they were great. I didn't have the same experience this time.
My appointment was at 8:00am and I received a call at 7:33am to let me know they still had to unload their truck from the last job the day before and could they come at 9:00am or 9:30am. I said that was fine, but the closer to 9:00am the better due to an appointment I had in the afternoon.
At 9:45am I called to find out where the movers were - at that time I was told their truck had broken down and they were renting one to complete my job. I asked for a time that I could expect them and was told no later than 10:00am. The movers arrived at 10:15am.
Once there, the movers were great - they understood that I had a timing issue and worked hard to get my move done.
I was happy with the move itself, but not happy with the timing and communication.
