I am aware that moving is one of the greatest stressors in life. Today I experienced something quite unusual and wonderful.David Jones, Courtney Brown, and Ruben Jean made that stressor go away. They were so professional, so pleasant, so kind. They worked beautifully together and didn’t even stop to take a break. I don’t know how they did it. I have never seen people work so hard in such a competent way. They were so enjoyable to be with. I just can’t say enough. Thank you so much for everything .
Update: Unfortunately, after my glowing remarks, I discovered, upon unpacking the boxes, that so many items were broken that I am overwhelmed by the prospect of trying to remedy the situation. A number of boxes that were packed in a particular room at my old apartment had items literally thrown in without packing material of any kind. This includes mirrors, lamps, and other breakable items. None of these items are repairable or replaceable because they were purchased at antique shops. I have to say that one of the members of the team who was working in this room was egregiously careless with my possessions. I think that Helping Hands Moving needs much better quality control and training for their team members. I regret tipping the packer who was responsible and I am changing my review to one star.

Courtney & Dave were terrific. They were very professional and helpful. They took pride in doing their job well. Wish I could have taken them to my destination to unload too. Took great care that my belongings were carefully wrapped & packed on the truck. Would use them again in a heartbeat!! So grateful to have had their help.

Movers were very punctual. They did an excellent job packing the pod. I could not have asked for a better crew of people to do our packing. They made sure everything was strapped in blankets were tightly secured on items that needed the blankets and all items were tightly secured at the very end of packing. You can't move, the furniture that's in there. They were courteous to my husband and I and ask questions when needed. If I ever need movers again, this will be the first group of people I come to.

Gentlemen were very courteous,I give them an A. the only thing that was disapointing was , I had no knowledge that EVERyTHING hadto be in a TOTE or BOX. So being said , Myself and Husband had to finish loading the rest of the house ,about 25%.

Though the Helpers were friendly and hardworking, they were apparently not experienced or trained with properly loading/packing a POD container, which is specifically why I chose your service, rather than hiring less expensive simple muscle. There were a few serious mistakes made that impacted the safety of my shipment, plus made it almost impossible to open up the POD on the other end. These are well-known facts like not loading heavy on top of light boxes, and loading the mattress last so that it braces the rest of load and if shifting occurs during transit, you can still open the POD. Tie-downs were not used either, though provided to them.
My mother supervised the loading in Florida, which again is why I chose a professional service to make sure it was done right. I am very lucky nothing was badly damaged because the POD door was badly stuck due to jammed boxes from improper packing (plus heavy items put on top of fragile boxes) and it took an extra half hour of the Hireahelper unloaders time in California to even get the door open. Please make sure the Helpers you send to a job are actually trained in how to do the necessary work.
You ordered an 8' pod and trying to fit everything in there. So of course the pod was packed to the brim. You declined materials. We load 45 pods a month and never had a complaint on loading the pod. The pod was to small to begin with. Thank Dennis

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
We typically call our customers within an hour of receiving notification of booking.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
We always call our customers the day prior to moving to confirm the date and time. On the day of the move, our crew will show up with smiles on their faces and ready to work!
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
You can always call us with any questions prior to moving day. First and foremost, customers should RELAX. Items should be wrapped and packed in labeled boxes. Furniture pads should be purchased or rented - they are essential to protecting your belongings. If you are disassembling furniture before we arrive, put all hardware (screws, nuts, bolts) in a labeled baggie and tape it to the furniture or put it somewhere safe.
What types of moves have you handled?
You name it, we have done it! Labor services (loading, unloading, re-arranging furniture), Full Service Moves (white glove services with a truck), local moves, corporate moves, junk removal, deliveries.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
We have met some pretty awesome customers. Moving can be very stressful, so it's always nice to hear that we have alleviated the stress that is associated with moving.
What training do you provide your crew members?
Our training methods are extremely hands on - our patient yet thorough crew leaders are experienced in teaching the industry's latest moving techniques to our newer staff members.
