Kinda slow. Scuff marks on the walls. Bumped a lamp in stairway. Got it done in allotted time though. For $500 I expected a little more.

My appointment was originally scheduled for 9:00 AM. They called and changed that to 1:00. At 2:40, they called to say they were 30 minutes away. They finally arrived at 4:30 PM!!! They didn't bring a large enough truck so it took two trips. By 10:00, their crew was so tired that they just started piling stuff in my garage and had a new crew come to finish the job. The second crew finally finished and left at 12:15 AM.

They said they couldn't take my entertainment center downstairs--it wouldn't fit. My husband and I subsequently took it down ourselves. They left a huge gash in the top of my desk and nicked several doorways.

The movers were very nice and polite, especially the second crew they sent. To their credit, they sent a 4th guy (no charge) to help speed things up. I ended up paying for a bit more than 2 hours overtime.

I would not recommend this company to friends and family nor would I hire them for another job.

We always strive to provide top notch service and arrive within a one hour window of our start time. Needless to say, we did not meet my expectations or did we meet yours. Again, my apologies. Your feedback will make us a better company and we are already making changes to our service policies going forward so we don’t end up running late and wearing down the crew and our customer’s with long delay’s and working until the late night hours.

Kelton and his helper did a fantastic job unloading our truck after our long distance move. They arrived on time and we’re very efficient moving our furniture off the truck. They laid down carpet protection and moved everything where we wanted it. I would definitely hire his team again.

Great movers! Communication from when booked, to ensure we were still good a few days before and again on the morning of the move.

Took extra care wrapping my furniture items, but were also incredibly efficient and did not milk the clock or try to add more time. Will always use Starving Artists Moving going forward.

My movers were Sean and Denzel, excellent!

The helpers arrived on time and worked very hard. They were respectful of our home and property. They did not have a dolly with them and we were lucky that our neighbor had one we could use. I would use them again.

The two young men that came to our house were great (forgot their names). They kept moving the entire time & even finished early, no damage to furniture or walls. This was well worth the cost vs. trying to do it ourselves!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

Our customers can expect a follow up call to discuss any unknown details that might serve us in preparing for their move. We want to make sure we are communicating with the customer so we can exceed their expectations on move day. Eliminating any last minute issues before hand makes for a much happier customer and our crew is prepared to handle the job. Everyone wins!

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

Customers should expect a uniformed crew to arrive in the allotted time frame. We will call before we leave to make sure we let the customer know we are coming and get any last minute details to ensure the day goes as smoothly as possible.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Best practices for preparing for the big day! If the customer is packing their own boxes, make sure they are closed and sealed with tape. Open boxes or other crates that don’t have lids cause for delays. If appliances are to be moved, its best to have them disconnected, drained and cleaned out and dry so we are leaving water puddles or spots. It’s also a good idea to have a clear area for the moving van to have access to the main door. These things will save time and thus save money for the customer.

What types of moves have you handled?

Starving Artists Moving offers a wide range of moving services. We can accommodate, small in-house jobs to large houses moving to another state. We also offer corporate moving services for specialized items.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

We understand that moving is very stressful. Starving Artists Moving, also, appreciates that we are helping families through difficult times in their lives. Our motivation is that we are providing all our customers with professional services to ease the transitions as they move onto the next stage of their lives.

What training do you provide your crew members?

Starving Artists Moving, has a multi-step training procedure. We require our crew members to watch proper wrapping, lifting and packing videos to give them a visual idea. Then we require them to demonstrate the information from the video in a controlled situation. They are required to show the supervisor that they fully comprehend by actually loading a truck and then unloading. We provide structured assistance along the way to promote consistency in how we wrap and move furniture or any household item.
