I was in a bind when I moved to Portland as my husband had to leave town and I had no one to help me empty my storage pod. These guys saved me! They were on time, even early. They were extremely friendly and did a wonderful job negotiating some tight basement stairs. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends!

You don't know how bad a No Show is until all your stuff is packed and your waiting....and you call and no one answers. And no one calls back. don't use this company.

Portland's Family Movers were a no show, and didn't answer multiple calls day of after confirming the move just a week prior. Luckily Assured Moving was able to pick up the job just an hour later and completed the job quickly.

They were quiet flexible with scheduling. I had originally scheduled for them to help on Friday, but my POD arrived early Thursday and they were able to adjust their schedule to come Thursday afternoon. They were very friendly and worked hard during the time they were here. They unloaded the POD in under two hours. They did pretty well with moving items with care, though they seemed a bit rushed, perhaps because they had re-scheduled us.
They did not bring a dolly (we provided one), and it would have been very helpful if they used a pad for the door when moving large pieces into the house to avoid scuffing the frame.
I would probably use them again, though perhaps schedule enough time that they don't have to feel rushed.

Called and made me change the number of movers, although the site showed they had them available when I booked, and then tried to reschedule after that. Showed up without a hand cart (although I'd requested one), were rude (called me a "hoarder," for only one example), complained about how heavy our things were while alternately calling our things "flimsy." Made fun of my six-year-old daughter and made her cry (she still won't tell me what they said to her). They also dropped my dining room table and didn't say a word (I was in the other room and heard the crash). Luckily, it was just loosened and not broken. Although I had labeled rooms and boxes, I'm still finding boxes in the wrong places as I unpack. Would hire random strangers off the street before I'd hire these people again. A complete waste of money and drain on my soul. The one good thing is that they did carry the heavier items, after I asked them to.

One of them had better ideas about how to move things than the other. Only one thing was broken and luckily it wasn't something that can be seen from outside. They did get the work done in a timely manner.
