First off, 5 stars for HireAHelper. Their claims resolution process was surprisingly fast and effective. I highly recommend booking through HireAHelper. They will help you resolve any issues that arise during your move.
Unfortunately, I can't say the same for Muscle Moving. They no-showed on the day of our move, and then they damaged our property while moving it the next day. They arrived one man short, which left them unable to safely move our heavier belongings. They also tried to tack on an extra fee for "travel" after they were finished, which you are not obligated to pay. I would not use them again.
If your location is near to their business, and if there is nothing complicated about your move, then you can hire them and things will probably work out fine. However, if you are further away, or if there is anything complicated about your move (e.g., heavy furniture, tricky logistics), then I would recommend hiring another company.

I called several times to confirm my move and I did not even get the courtesy of a return call. The day of my move they were a no show and did not even call to let me know they could not make it. So frustrating especially when you are making a move to a different state where you do not know anybody. I would never call or recommend them to anyone.

Mike and Joe did a great job on a very hot day. The start of the day was late due to the 1st assigned crew had to reschedule from 7-8 start to a 9-10 start. Then that crew had car trouble and could no make it. I was kept up to date via text message. Another crew was sent. They arrived @ noon. I was not on a tight schedule so this was not inconvenient. The job that I want done was completed with no damage, they followed my instruction, were very pleasant even when hot and sweating. I will use them again.

After booking two ppl to help me unload my moving truck and driving 7 hours to the storage unit the movers were 3.5 hours late and demanded gas money to do the job. As my 6 year old sat in the moving truck for five hours after driving with me for 7 hours I unloaded half of the 26 foot truck all by myself in 102 degree heat. When they finally arrived they did work hard but still knocking things over and showing very little respect for my belongings. Interesting situation when you have a full truck and they know you need their help. Do you freak out and get stuck with a full truck or bite your tongue and make sure you and your child arent stuck at a storage unit with no way to unload it? My child is more important than me showing my displeasure so I've paid the $165 plus the $40 they demanded for gas. Awful, they knew they were 3.5 hours late and screwed me over. A real businness would have at least appoligized if not given at least a partial refund. Dont ever use this company!

This was the absolute worst experience I have EVER had with “professional” movers.
1. Three hours late, did text to let me know.
2. Truck was packed COMPLETELY backwards. Boxes thrown in first, not stacked tightly to minimize shifting.
3. Furniture SHOVED in last and because the truck was packed so poorly, I had to choose not to bring certain pieces with me. BECAUSE THEY PACKED THE TRUCK ALL WRONG!
4. DID NOT follow instructions given three times to use the box of shrink wrap I had purchased specifically to wrap my furniture. I went out to check to see how packing the truck was going and noticed they weren’t using it. THEY COULDN’T, they had already shoved the box in the back of the truck and it was buried.
5. Moving blankets were purchased specifically to cover my oversized items and add additional protection to oddly shaped pieces. NOT following instructions meant they had to use all the moving blankets to cover my all of my furniture.
6. Their solution: Use DUCT tape to secure drawers, tape moving blankets to furniture and tape shelving together. I had pointed out where the painters tape was several times.
7. I had to unpack sheets, comforters, and throw blankets to cover my furniture because they didn’t follow instructions given three times.
8. My $30,000 Ethan Allen hand painted furniture is destroyed. Armoire, two side tables, bedframe with head and foot board, and a large dresser with detachable mirror. I have duct tape all over them. Chunks of the feet are gone (I know, I am finding the huge chunks on my floor. This furniture is 100% solid wood and they treated it like cheap iKea furniture.
THESE are NOT professional movers. They clearly did not have a CLUE what they were doing. I would have had better service hiring the day laborers waiting at the uHaul store.
I would never recommend this company to anyone, unless they had stuff to haul off to the dump.

Muscle Moving should change their profession to household goods destroyers. My TV and curio were upside down. In my storage unit my sofa and hutch pedestal were on their side. This will put stress on the frame. Also. I hired 6 men. I got 4 men and two women. Finally I was running late on Sunday called and asked if the mover could arrive a hour later. The response was OK. I arrived at my destination and was told I could have one maybe two mover.
And i have a very strong crew and 3 of them are women 1 of them my wife. i think that is a very sexcist thing to say and i think most women would say the same thing. Im very sorry your move was stressful and we were not able to accommodate you better.

The quote I received was for 2 helpers and only one showed up so my friends had to help with the heavy items...not happy about that. However, my request was last-minute and Dillon was able to stop by on his way to another job as I only needed help unloading. Dillon, with Muscle Moving, arrived at location before we got there and he got right to it. He was focussed, careful, capable with heavy items and the job was finished in 25 minutes. I would recommend him. Also, thanks to Hire-A-Helper for making the call to make it happen on such short notice. They also adjusted the charge to reflect one mover rather than two. They have been very helpful & courteous through every interaction.
