This is usually the time of year when things get slippery, and often times that means being extra cautious. I would plan on any job you book taking a little longer than usual, as our #1 priority is safety.

Two workers were not able to lift my furniture by themselves, I had to help them. They dropped our mattress in the snow multiple times. They knocked over multiple things in the garage which luckily didn’t break. They got dropped off by a taxi after I told them we had a washer and dryer to be unloaded. They were not prepared nor do infer they were qualified for the job. Would not recommend.
Secondly, I understand that you're upset about our workers. As I explained, if you had called us as soon as you had an issue, we could have sent replacements in a heartbeat... But waiting 2 days before indicating any problems was not the best way to go about solving them.
In the future, we are happy to solve any issues that may arise, but we simply can't do anything about it 2 days after your move is complete.

Showed up on time. After a minute or 2 the "Boss" had to change his shoes because his feet were cold. It's winter in Wisconsin!! 5 minutes to change shoes because he had to unpack his trunk to find the shoes. They were slow moving, no thinking, no common sense about moving furniture. Wouldn't really do anything unless told to do so. The "Boss" seem to get very important messages on his phone as he monitored it very closely and often. Several times I had to prompt them to get moving. The two of them would stand around talking and waiting for me to tell them to unload the truck. I would load stuff on the end of the truck for them to unload and they would take one item, about 2 pounds and then put it in the way for us to unload the next item. The self proclaimed boss thought he was entertaining when he would make rude, dirty comments regarding women. My wife could hear and as a Pastor I was insulted and uncomfortable with their jokes. No common sense regarding the business, no training, no experience. My entire family, parents, brothers, and myself worked for Bekins Van Lines, Atlas, and Mayflower for more than 25 years. If you are renting nothing but muscle then make that clear. If you are renting REAL HELP, then make that clear as well. I would not recommend this "Boss" to anyone. His partner was a nice guy but had a bad mentor. He told us he was the boss and owned several companies and insisted on listing them for us. I didn't care.

Secondly, allow me to address the issue: "bad service". While I do agree that we didn't work exceptionally fast in the frigid Wisconsin winter, ice is a very real danger, and I will *never* tell any of my workers to risk their safety for the sake of moving your things.
As for the dissatisfaction with our attitudes, I don't want to put the blame on your side, but each of us decides how we feel about things. You can be happy that you're alive, even if things don't look so great right now, or miserable in the face of prosperity. We were cracking a couple of jokes while working, trying to keep the mood up, but clearly you didn't appreciate them. I'd apologize, but I'm not sorry that we tried to make you smile.
Honestly, I wish you had addressed your concerns with me directly while we were there - we would have been able to pack your storage unit in about 20 minutes if you'd let us.
Ultimately, I leave this message to anyone who reads this: We aren't perfect, and this review shows it. We do try to do a good job every time, but sometimes things don't work out the way we hope - maybe someone's having a bad day, maybe there's ice on the ground, or maybe everything aligns to create a perfect storm of dissatisfaction. Regardless of the circumstances, we do try, and sometimes we fail. We're only human, and that's simply human nature.

National Metro Movers saved the day after the movers I arranged through the rental truck company cancelled.
They loaded the truck so efficiently and quickly! Their experience even saved me unexpected charges related to blankets and the rental truck. They even helped me load even more than I thought would be possible. They unloaded just as impressively and placed the beds/dressers and other big pieces so I didn't have to later try and wrangle them myself.
Devon and crew were professional and personable and I appreciated his frequent communication after I placed my same-day order.
I wholeheartedly recommend them and have already told a couple of people about the fantastic team. I will definitely start with them for any future needs.

The actual labor performed when the movers finally arrived was done cordially and cheerfully, with no damage done to furniture or walls, doorways, etc. Tony and Willie were helpful and respectful. However, due to some miscommunication they were over 2 hours late. I had confirmed the job & location a couple of days beforehand with the supervisor so I have no idea where the communication break-down occurred. (That is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5; being late was unprofessional. ) They did work hard once on site, and were respectful of property and goods.

If I could no stars I would. This company claims to be a moving company but there is no way his business should be categorized as such. He showed up 2 1/2 late due to someone cancelling on him. Then showed up from someone he hired off craigslist. I had to get the items off the truck to return it and due to him being late I needed him to complete the Job in a decent time. Not only did he not complete it in the time allotted but it also went over by an additional 2 hrs nearly with a good portion of he items still in the garage. Also would like to state that I tried to talk to the owner and ask him if there is any way they could speed it up and explained to him why and all I got was that he has been doing it for years and you can damage the elbows and back by going to fast. He also proceeded to tell me if I want it done faster I could always help. I wouldn't never use this company again nor recommend them.
