The worst moving experience I've ever had. They showed up 7 hours late, worked an hour before they all had to stop for a smoke break together, put items in rooms where they didn't belong, and then refused to move a piano they had agreed to move saying its size had been misrepresented to them. They said the size was too large to be moved with 2 piano dollies and 4 men. However, we moved it ourselves into the pod weeks earlier with 2 piano dollies and 4 men and it was represented exactly as it was. It turned out they were lying to me and to Hire-A-Helper and they didn't actually bring the piano dollies at all. They were rude and unprofessional and my brother-in-law and I ended up doing most of the move ourselves. We had to hire a different set of movers to move the piano. By the way, the other movers did it with one piano dolly and three guys and they did it in five minutes. I would never hire this company again under any circumstances.

Excellent hard working crew. They were on time and worked with us on our changing move time. They were prepared and worked hard for the full 2 hours. They did their best to protect our property and goods, the only mishap was my Big Green Egg grill falling out of the truck causing damage that will require costly repairs. Otherwise, they did well. I appreciate them being courteous, on-time, and working hard. I would use them again. Thanks.

With Gentle Movers, it depends on who is on your moving team. On the phone they were very professional and accommodating for a last minute move, but two of the four workers I had made me very, very nervous as they moved my things. Personally, I would not use their service again unless I coordinated to hire only their more experienced movers.

I put in an order based on 12 to 1 arrival for 4 hours availability the night before. I spoke with James the next morning at 7:30. He said ok and would call back. He then at around 9 wanted to know if they could come at 10. But they already had a 1:00 scheduled. That was too soon and I needed 4 hours. He said well let me see if I can get another crew together and I'll call you back. Well at 11:30 I had not heard back. I called and he said they were in Clarksville and it would be after 2:00 before they could get to my house. I only had a truck till 4:00 . They said we will call when on the way. I called and canceled with Hireahelper and they tried to find another company at noon but couldn't . Maybe if Gentle Movers had said at 730 we can't do it they could have or if they had marked unavailable on site the night before the problem would have been solved.
