I had 2men for 2 hours. Both men worked very hard and continuously for the entire time.

The crew arrived on time and were otherwise kind but that's where the satisfaction ended. We had them booked for 3 hours but they only worked for just over 2 hours and the entire job was a race with little to no regard for our material things. We had requested packing items be brought with them (with the intent to purchase them directly) and the crew showed up empty handed. They said they 'stopped before the came to pick up the materials but the place they stopped (which was never named) was sold out or on back order'.... it was clear they were unprepared and never stopped and this was convenient excuse for them showing up with nothing. There was no call ahead placed to inform us they had no materials so we as the homeowners could have made other plans to acquire more sheets, towels, etc to have instead. All of our wood items were stacked on top of each other leaving several items significantly scratched. A shelf, chest of drawers and bedframe were wedged in so tightly that the offloading movers had no choice but to scratch them even more just to free them. My grandmother's antique washboard was scratched along with an antique China cabinet and dining room table. A fairly new master bedroom suit was also damaged as the leg off a chest of drawers was completely broken off due to poor loading. It was an extremely disappointing discovery to open the pods at our new home to find the damage that was done. The offloading movers said it was some of the poorest work they had ever seen. I would never personally treat anyone else's stuff that way and am heartbroken. Thus far, no compensation has taken place by the moving company or HireAHelper and thus I would NOT recommend either to anyone.

We had 2 helpers for 3 hours unload a 26' full moving truck - they arrived on time, worked hard, and finished within 3 hrs. Crew was friendly and professional - definitely recommend!

Able to unload my large pod in under an hour and helped me set up my furniture. I had ordered 3 people originally, but one was late so they actually sent a 4th person to help me unload at no extra cost which was nice and which I appreciated. The main reason for deduction in stars is that after they left I noticed scratches and gauges in my flooring left by the movers. Not sure if they dropped something or were just not careful when putting my furniture together. This was especially upsetting as I had literally just finished installing all new floors the day before. So all in all, efficient moving but did result in some damage to my new flooring.

The only reason I did not give 5 starts is because of how they track billable time. The crew was scheduled to start at 5 pm, called and said they'd be arriving around 1:45 pm, though I reminded them, that they were scheduled for 5 pm, but we could accommodate 2 pm, they arrived at 1:45 pm before we arrived and started charging even though work did not start until 2:00. Even after we had them correct to a 2 pm start and digitally signed as such, and after giving a decent tip to the crew and feeding them, we were still charged the extra 15-minutes. Outside of this, the crew was very friendly and worked relatively quickly not milking the clock.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?
My favorite part about being a mover is meeting new people everyday. Some of these relationships have lasted over 15 years!

Our training consists of live experience at our warehouse before going in our customers' homes.
