We are so happy with our service from Hands Free Moving. Shayla made sure to call and confirm everything and also to make sure everything was going as scheduled. There was a minor hiccup, but Shayla handled everything seamlessly. Troy, our mover was very nice and good-spirited. He and my husband knocked out our move with no problem. I’d definitely recommend.

Damaged almost all my furniture. They ripped the arm cushions off two couches trying to push them through doorways and badly scraped my dresser. Frequently bumped furniture into doorframes and were careless. One of the two helpers became tired quickly and contributed to the furniture damage. After two hours, they had not completed moving my one bedroom apartment. The pros are that they were polite and had good communication, but this does not mean much when they did the job so poorly.

Mover's response:
Miss Fazal, thank you so much for your feedback. Unfortunately, you disregarded the movers' suggestions to acquire furniture blankets that would have protected your furniture throughout the move, since you were moving through multiple small staircases, elevators, and hallways. Our crew members always do their best to get jobs done damage-free, and you were more than accommodated and reimbursed since they were unable to do so. In the future, please consider our suggestions regarding furniture blankets and plastic wrap as we are only trying to protect your property. We greatly appreciate your business and your review.

Shayla, the moving coordinator, was wonderful! Two of the movers did not respond so she used all of her resources to find two other movers for us. The first mover arrived at 9am sharp and started wrapping furniture and moving whatever he could. The second mover came later at around 11am or so. The third & fourth mover were there later on. Shayla did not charge more than the four movers for four hours since everyone came at a different time. She really worked with us and was overall a pleasure to deal with. When working with labor-only movers, its difficult to get steady hard-working people to rely on but Shayla did her best. The first mover that arrived, Michael, was a real go-getter and I would recommend asking Shayla for him if you need to move. Overall, the move went well. I would comment that two of the workers were a bit lacking in motivation compared to the other two. Of the two, one didn't seem to have any experience in moving anything at all but still, nothing was damaged during the move.

Mover's response:
Tina, thank you so much for your detailed review!! We greatly appreciate your feedback. Shayla always does her best to satisfy customers as much as posible, and we appreciate you taking notice. Finding reliable crew members can be quite difficult sometimes, but we appreciate your patience and willingness to wait on each guy.

I hired 3 people for 5 hrs. The two guys were AMAZING! Very knowledgable, respectful and just overall awesome. The third guy not so much. He didnt read the arrows on the boxes. Ended up spilling an antique oil lamp all over the floor, knocked over a tool box full of nails and then stopped working the last hour due to exhaustion! The other two guys picked up the slack though and made the move less stressful.

Mover's response:
Thank you so much for your review! We are truly apologetic that all three guys weren't working at their best, but I'm glad we were able to reimburse you for our crew member's mistakes. We appreciate your patience and business.

They did good. I should have ordered 3 instead of two, but that was my fault.I had several really heavy items and going up 2 flights of steps with 15 steps each. I had a couple of dents and scrapes, but I would have destroy several pieces. These guys work really hard and were very courteous to homeowner of the home I was moving out of..I would recommend them.thank you

Mover's response:
Thanks so much, Curtis! We highly appreciate your business.

Get To Know Us

What can a customer expect after booking with you?

Customers can expect a call directly from me between 24 and 48 hours before the date and time of their scheduled move. The purpose of this call is to go over any specifics that I may need to know from the customer such as exacts locations of loads and/or unloads, exact times, any flights of stairs, fragile items, heavy items, appliances, etc. This will allow me to properly advise customers on how to prepare for the move: if they need furniture wrap, special dollies, furniture blankets, etc.

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?

On moving day, customers can expect another call from myself, as well as the individuals in the crew assigned to them, between 1 and 3 hours before their move to confirm the move. The crew will also call upon their early or on time arrival. Once the job is 100% complete within the booked time, either myself or a crew member will present the customer with an invoice containing the details of the completed move, including any damages, for them to sign. The customer will then receive a copy of the invoice.

How should a customer prepare for moving day?

Customers should be sure to confirm their truck pick up well before the schedule move time and make sure that they have send exact addresses to me as requested. If the customer has any heavy items or appliances, they should request an appliance dolly at the time of their truck pick up. If they have any furniture that they want to be extra protected, they should also request furniture blankets and furniture wrap at the time of their truck pick up. Lastly, be all packed up unless otherwise specified.

What types of moves have you handled?

We have handled local moves within the state of Georgia.

What's your favorite part about being a mover?

I thoroughly enjoy meeting different customers, learning their moving-stories, and catering specifically to their lives within the move. Extraordinary customer service is one of my greatest passions.

What training do you provide your crew members?

Crew members learn with hands-on experience and verbal teaching how to properly and safely pack, load, and unload in a move. They are given a "textbook" at the time of their interview to study containing the ways the should carry out a move the right way so that there are no damages or injuries. They then go on a generally quick and easy "test move" that I supervise to ensure that they are ready to take on longer and larger jobs.
