Pittsburgh Mover Reviews
These guys were relentless. They were fast, careful, and kind. When I move again, I will absolutely call them.
The guys were fast friendly and professional. Treated my furniture and belonging like it was their own. I
Derek and his crew were very professional. The ensured the communicated their arrival time and arrived on time, we did a walk through reviewed all rooms. They started to work immediately, putting done mats to keep the floors clean. All I can say is Derek is a Tetras Master, packing the container, securing the load. His crew carefully wrapped and handled all our items. Thanks for taking some stress of a move off us!!!
This crew is simply the best. This is the second time we've used the Barkley team and they are consistently professional, courteous, communicative, and kind. They are masters at loading and packing a truck as not a single item was broken or damaged. Can't say enough good things about this team. Thanks again!
Arrived on time. Careful with my things. Efficient.
Your crew did an amazing job, thank you so much!
Both Rashaw and Clayton did an outstanding job. They arrived on time and worked diligently to get my furniture moved with care. Great guys!

Real Advice from Pittsburgh Movers
We asked local movers about what you should know about moving in Pittsburgh. (They’re really nice!)
"Pittsburgh tends to be extremely busy! With a lot of construction going on all year round, so you want to consider your routes carefully. One wrong turn can leave you stuck for over an hour. Knowing your routes and traffic times can save you a lot of time and money. Outside of that, you need a really good driver, especially if you are moving with a big truck, the roads are narrow in the (especially in the city), parking is usually a challenge, but we are able to work around this by properly planning."
- Movers of Pennsylvania"If you are moving in or out of Pittsburgh, you will want to use the highways as much as possible for traveling. It's the quickest way to many parts of the city. Due to the number of hills in Pittsburgh, you also want to make sure you hire movers who are great at packing so your belongings stay secured during transport."

Major Neighborhoods in Pittsburgh
The “City of Bridges" blends its steel structures right where the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio Rivers converge, making Pittsburgh one of the most picturesque cities in the country. If you don't believe it, drive through the Fort Pitt Tunnel at night to check out Mt. Washington, PNC Park, and Acrisure Stadium (Heinz Field) all lighting up the rivers! Pittsburgh's old, winding roads are infamous, however, so check out local movers to get you situated as soon as possible.
Shadyside
Shadyside is located in East Pittsburgh, just north of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). A lot of that campus life spills into the town, an artsy, close-knit community with lots to do within walking distance: easy-access cafes, restaurants, and plenty of greenery. If you're planning a move anywhere along Ellsworth Avenue, Walnut Street, and S. Highland Avenue, it can be greatly helped with movers familiar with the one-way roads and cramped streets!
Lawrenceville
Located along the Allegheny River in Pittsburgh, Lawrenceville is one of the hippest destinations in Pittsburgh. With its distinctive architecture honoring the city's steelworker history, plenty of cool places dot the area, including daytime activities like The Clemente Museum, and cozy nighttime hangs like The Brillobox. There's also Schiller Park for the avid outdoorsmen! Pro movers know Butler Street's many nooks and crannies well if Lawrenceville is your next destination.
Squirrel Hill
Home to Chatham University and Carnegie Mellon, Squirrel Hill is only five minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. But with plenty of historic homes and super cute stores lining the neighborhood, it offers a comparable escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. When moving to Squirrel Hill, remember that Murray and Forbes are a business district that may pose an issue for your moving truck or container. It’s best to trust local Pittsburgh movers to get you to your destination without the stress.
South Side
South Side was called "Funky, feisty, historical, and full of character (and characters)" by Visit Pittsburgh, the state's official tourism website. The main area in South Side is East Carson Street, which runs for 1.5 miles along the southern bank of the Monongahela River and is stuffed with tons of businesses, restaurants and venues. There are always things to do! Professional South Side movers are just a click away when it's time to move, ensuring an easy transition to your new Pittsburgh home.
