This young man and his crew served me quite well. They operated professionally, expediently and with great care. They were on time, well prepared for the job, worked diligently, showed great respect for my property and goods, and I would hire them again without question, unhesitatingly.

They were amazing! We were two hours late for our appointment due to traffic in New York, and Krishlanz was very flexible. They allowed us to play it by ear, and then met us at the house as soon as we arrived. The men were very hard workers, and completed the job quickly. I would definitely recommend them!

Krishnu of Krishlanz & Co. called me an hour and 10 minutes prior to our 7pm appointment. He stated that they would be late because his partner did not show and he had to find a replacement. He did not know the new arrival time, but stated he would call me back with more information. I explained that it was ok, but needed to know the plan. I did not hear from him for over an hour. I called him four different times over the next 30 minutes, and each time the call went to his voicemail. He would not even answer for the hireahelper customer service. This is a horrible way to do business. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Thankfully, hireahelper is great and found me another moving company to come that same evening.

Mover's response:

We spoke with Melissa @ 5:49PM about my assistant being a no show. Our arrival time window was 7PM-8PM. The phone logs shows she called twice & left two messages before Hire A Helper called and left a message @ 7:27PM. Before the end of our arrival time window expired at 8PM, the job request was already transferred to another company. We never had a chance to respond to any of the voice mails.

I had a wonderful experience! They were timely, efficient, knowledgable, and professional. My friends and neighbors were so impressed with them that they took their business card so they could use them in the future. I would absolutely recommend their services. I have used movers 4 times in the past three years and these were the best in the area.

They did a great job, worked very quickly, and moved me into my 585 sq ft studio in about an hour and a half. I live on the 2nd floor and I had some heavy furniture (queen bed and box spring, dresser, desk, couch, side tables) as wel as quite a few boxes. They were very nice and respectful.

The only reason I wouldn't give them all 5 stars is they were relatively difficult to reach. They responded to my inititial email asking for help very quickly, but in the two days leading up to my move, I was not able to reach them by phone, and my voicemail wasn't returned. I requested they come between 11am and 1pm, and I understand that movers can only come once they're done with the previous move. On moving day, I still had not heard from them other than a confirmation email that morning and I did not get my call returned until 11:30am saying they were on there way. I understand they don't want to answer the phone if they're on another job, but I suggest they get a better communication system! I was starting to worry that they weren't coming (they weren't late, I just hadn't heard from them!)

WITH THAT SAID: I do recommend these movers, especially since you're using them through hire-a-helper who will not release your payment to movers until AFTER they show up and do a good job. You probably won't find a better deal than Kirshlandz in DC, and they do good work. I recommend them, just expect the possibililty of not getting the communication you might be looking for.

We receive all of our move request via the internet and online, not by phone. We also send confirmations, correspondence and Q&A via email, internet and text. We do this to ensure we have everything in writing in case of any misunderstandings.
