I&O movers were excellent - They kept me informed of their progress when they were running late due to a storm interrupting a move before ours. They brought an extra helper due to the delay, drove over in rush hour traffic, worked past 6:30 on a Friday night, and completed our move in half of the time expected. They were apologetic, courteous, efficient, and excellent in their maneuvering around a narrow row home. This is a well managed group that I would highly recommend.

Gordon and his team are absolute ROCK STARS of moving! Communication was fantastic - updates on arrival time and prompt calls when there was a slight delay (hey, it’s a holiday weekend, graduations, etc..it happens). Packing a truck safely and efficiently was intuition for our team - we didn’t lift a finger. And, our team was friendly and respectful. WOULD HIRE AGAIN, NO QUESTION! Next stop, Brooklyn! Holy heck were these guys the Tetris champs of packing the storage containers!! I could never have done the job they did getting everything in there. It was suggested I needed 3 people for 4 hours, when the guys doing the job were dropped off the supervisor seemed surprised at the recommendation I'd been given after seeing my house. When it became obvious the job was not going to be done in 4 hours I started to carry things outside to try and speed up the process. They did end up working an extra hour and got the job done. It would have been nice if there was a quick conversation - "would you like us to continue? It will be $xx if we do". I'd made it very clear my priority was getting the furniture into the storage containers and while they were stacking masters I can't help but wonder if they saved all the furniture to the end so they'd have to run overtime?
One of the team members was clearly very new. He did a fantastic job moving boxes out of the house but he was pretty useless at moving furniture I actually ended up taking things out of his hands and team carrying with the other guys on his team. One dresser got damaged (they did take money off my bill for it) and after they were gone I realized my floor was scratched in a few places that hadn't been before they arrived. They also had a hard time moving large pieces (ie: upright freezer and sleeper sofa) out of the house. My father (who was there to help manage the move with me) is the one who suggested taking the door off the freezer and the house to get the larger items out - shouldn't movers know to do this? They were all very personable and respectful of my home, my belongings, and me. I certainly could not have gotten the job done as well or as quickly with friends, but I don't feel like they were the best movers out there. Of course, I've never used movers before so what do I know?

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
complete professionalism from beginning to end spectacular customer service, polite, and courteous movers that are always on time.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
nothing but the best all movers have years of experience and aim to please. we start all moves with a phone call prior to your move, giving you an eta and the names of the movers that have been assigned to your job. you will then be advised when they arrive, and your time will not start until they start moving things. you will also be contacted periodically throughout the job to make sure our level of satisfaction expectations are being met.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
make sure you know what items will be moved on moving date so movers can effectively plan the loading of your truck. other than that relax and let the professionals make your move smooth.
What types of moves have you handled?
you name it we have done it small moves, large moves, state to state, local, office, junk runs, we do it all you can count on us for all your moving needs
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
The best part about moving aside from the amazing relationships we build with our customers is when we are at the end of the load and the customer comes out to see how much we packed, and how neatly all of there belongings fit into the truck.
What training do you provide your crew members?
All crew members are trained on proper lifting, and loading techniques, and proper customer service interaction, also packing methods, team lifting, and furniture wrapping
