I'm leaving a 5 star review because overall they did a good job and Peter, the owner, was excellent to work with. Unfortunately a window was broken during the move. They handled it promptly and efficiently. The new buyers had confidence that it would be handled and, as the seller, I didn't have to worry about it. I'm grateful for that. Communication was excellent throughout the process.
On moving day the men were on time and worked diligently to pack the truck efficiently. After unloading, I realized that I would like to have seen them continue packing the 2nd half of the truck as efficiently as they did the 1st half. We did not find any damage but many things shifted around and it looked like more could have been fit. Due to that we had to rent a trailer for the remaining items. I also would have liked to see them use more blankets to protect furniture and pad other items but I'll own that one as I believe they were trying to save me money and I didn't emphasize my desire for that.

This is the 2nd time I've used Alhood Van Lines for loading a moving container and once again service was excellent. David and John arrived early (thankfully) since their previous job was shorter than expected. They looked over everything to load, listened to my concerns about the crew that loaded me last time in another state and were pretty shocked to see the damage caused to wood furniture that those 2 didn't bother to wrap with the 30 extra blankets I'd rented. They were very careful, packed everything like a well fit jigsaw puzzle and suggested straps be used to secure the load about midway and again at the end. Hopefully everything will arrive to my final destination as it is packed now.

David and John were prompt, prepared, and professional. They worked quickly and carefully and unloaded our 16ft pod in just over an hour. They also helped assemble our bed and tv stand. They were friendly, efficient and wore masks the entire time. I would hire them again and recommend them to friends. Their professionalism was much appreciated!!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Our customers will receive an introductory email & phone call to review details & materials important for a safe & efficient move. We will call a day or two before the move to confirm the date & arrival time.
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Your crew will call en route with an updated arrival time. At your home the crew will do an initial wallk through to review items to be loaded & they will prep your home's floors, railings & doors with tarps & protection. The walk through is the time to point out any items or areas that need special attention - such as antiques, attics, etc.
