Good experience to start but when it was clear the estimated time would exceed 2 hrs, not so much. Overall the men worked hard, but the final outcome was not the best. The packing of the truck was haphazard, there would have been more room to fit my things comfortably if the packing had been done more efficiently. This revealed itself clearly when I reached my final destination. It was then that I discovered boxes I had asked to go on last, as well as boxes marked "fragile" went in first, some of which were found on the lowest level and were there for damaged or the tops crushed. A lamp that was mis-placed had to be trashed when we unpacked the truck. My belongings also shifted significantly as a result of the poor packing. The move was stressful for everyone, but even when an effort was made to show appreciation to the movers for their efforts by making a Starbucks run so they had drinks, only one of the two showed any sense of appreciation for our efforts. If I had realized that my request for certain items to be loaded last and fragile items being placed on the bottom level of boxes, there would have been major alterations to the tip provided at the end of the job. Clearly these men were not equipped to pack properly for a long distance move. Perhaps there would be a different outcome for a local move. It was disappointing to see the condition of my belongings at the end of the trip. As mentioned earlier they did seem to be working hard but I'm not sure they were working smart. The only reason my overall rating is three stars is because they made an effort. Given the final outcome and seeing how the packing went, clearly their effort was not the best. I hate giving bad ratings, but it's important in my opinion to be honest, and sadly, this is my honest experience.

Guys were timely, ready to roll and organized.
They did good job of wrapping the furniture for protection and packing and securing the load on the truck.
We would use their service again if needed.

I had one broken item. One item left in the moving truck. My bed frame was moved but not put together. The dresser was left on its side. They had a kid helping them. They did work hard going up three flights. They were cordial. It just didn't feel professional. With some changes I think they could be good and worth hiring. My other movers from hireahelper were very friendly and personable, no kids and went the extra mile. I would use hireahelper again.
