I understand that the guys had two other jobs to do on the day we moved and needed to conserve their energy but, as a result, we moved only half of the 26' truck in 4 hours. We had to bring in additional help to move the other half of our house, which we did in 2 hrs. For more than $30/hr per mover, I believe we got far less than we paid for. I will not be using this service again.

I would recommend having some cash on you when you move because something like this always takes longer than expected. One of the workers did smell like alcohol but it did not seem to affect his ability to work -- so I guess that's his energy drink. One of them did drop my file cabinet and I'll have to get a new one, but thankfully that was the only casualty during the move. They were very careful with my electronic items and other delicates. Also nothing was missing which is always a good thing after a move! Finally, I own a monster size treadmill which they had to get down a narrow flight of stairs and through a small basement door which was a challenge. They definitely came through for us on that! Overall, if your doing a quick move and need some extra hands or muscle to help out, then I would recommend them. Show Response

There was an awkward moment at the end when the movers claimed to need a numeric code to get paid by hireahelper.com. I called the number hireahelper gave me, and hireahelper sent me a text message and email saying that safetymovers had now been paid. But the workers were rather anxious about this numeric code that I did not have. Perhaps the payment mechanism from hireahelper.com has changed recently? In any case, the move went smoothly and I would recommend these guys. I was a little concerned about the objectivity of the reviews here, after reading reports of them begging for five stars, and the many many "not enough stars" comment feedbacks, but the workers only mentioned the review process once. If I want to give a tip I will, but dont expect it. I was satisfied with the help, the "bossman's " actions ruined my impression.
