These men arrived on time, worked efficiently and finished the job in the allotted time. They were respectful of my property and nothing was damaged. I would certainly recommend them to my friends and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Very timely and called night before date of service to confirm. They moved all of the furniture as well as refrigerator, washer, dryer by hand- no lifting equipment was utilized which worried me a little. They were very respectful, efficient and careful with the furniture. Never damaged anything although I would have preferred that they use some type of lifter to move the refrigerator and washing machine as at a certain point I thought they were going to drop the items. I am not sure if I will utilize them for the second phase of our move - to replace the furniture and appliances after all new hardwoods have been installed.

I will seek out a company that has appropriate lifting aides to reduce risk of damaging the appliances and floors not to mention their backs.

Mover's response:
We pick up your furniture because we have some of the strongest movers in the nation and we have special techniques we use, plus we would never use a dolly on a hardwood floor because we were trained better then that and I suggest whoever you choose to move your furniture back in do the same or your new floor might or might not get scratched .(Huge Risk!)

We only use equipment when we know for sure it won't harm your floor!

Thank you for choosing our service!

Their service was okay. Rick called me on Friday to confirm my move for Saturday and asked if he could push the time back one hour from an arrival between 2 and 3 p.m. to arrival between 3 and 4 p.m. I agreed, thinking that if I didn't, they'd probably be late anyway. At about 3:45 p.m., they called and said they'd arrive a bit late, because they had hit some traffic in Atlanta. I appreciated the call. When they arrived around 4:20 p.m. they were very nice. They worked quickly, completing everything in about 1.5 hours. However, they were pretty rough with our stuff, and they brought no equipment with them. In particular, they were really rough with our sleeper sofa. The reason I hired movers was to help with this sofa, as it has been difficult in past moves. They ended up damaging a wall, and then said it wasn't possible to get the sofa in, unless they forced it, which could result in other damage. We asked that they not try to force it and just leave it out front. Shortly after they left, my husband and my dad were able to get the sofa in without a scratch just by thinking through the process, removing the door and the metal weather stripping, which took all of a few minutes, and then having patience while maneuvering it through the door. So, overall, they moved most of our stuff in, they were fairly nice, but they were unprepared and rushed. I probably wouldn't hire them again.

Mover's response:
There were a 90 angle right at the front door that didn't allow us to get the extra large sofa in.
The customer asked us can we just put a little force behind it to get it in! We told them any extensive force will put damage on their wall, but they insisted we try it anyway. So we did just that, the couch had no chance of making it around the corner,so we stop forcing it because if we kept going it would turned from a little of damage to a lot. They said we did good & gave us a excellent tip!

I was impressed by how quickly these men arrived. Was also very impressed, that this was pretty much an "emergency call" since I was evicting a tennant, and was required to get someone to the property asap, according to the sheriffs dept, to complete an eviction process. The tennant already was in the process of moving his things out, and your men basically just had to watch. However, the company did not take advantage of me, for a no-notice show, and for that I'm greatful. These two men (movers) were very respectful, and were prepared to move the tennants things to the curb as requested, had the deputies signaled them to start. It was seamless, and for that I'm greatful. I would have rated 5 starts, had the two movers been required to actually move the tennant's belongings out.

Thank You,

I would never use Best Man Movers again. They did not finish the job. They left after two hours, saying their time was up. But I would have paid them to work longer. They moved only about 1/2 of my stuff. My wife and I had to finish loading the truck all by ourselves. We had to work eight (8) more hours after they left us. Sjnce we are both in our 60s, this moving was a killer for us.

Mover's response:
If you needed more time. All you had to due is ask! We never leave a job unfinished. You clearly indicated to us you couldn't afford any more time so we stayed an extra 5mins.We finished loading all 200 of your spider-infected boxes from your storage unit. Then we loaded majority of your belongings from your 2 bedroom apt. on the 2nd floor. You were not organized at all! You had stuff scattered absolutely everywhere to the point where we had to help you clean up before we moved anything.

I would not use Best Man Movers again. They were 1 hour and 50 minutes late for the job. They called at the 1 hour 20 minute mark to say, oops we are running late for the 8:00 a.m. appointment time because we "overlooked you" on the schedule. I asked whether that meant they had an earlier appointment than 8:00 a.m. The guy said, 'no, it just means we overlooked you on the schedule.'

I hadn't bothered to call HireAHelper because I decided to spend my time attempting to locate some last minute moving labor help. Because the container was scheduled for pickup later that morning, I reluctantly agreed to allow them to perform the work.

Essentially, they had set their own time for the appointment by accepting the 8:00 a.m. job and showing up at 9:50 to perform it.

Two men in their mid to late 20's arrived at my door. A third man sat in their vehicle in my driveway, in the passenger seat, while the two movers worked. The third guy in the driveway where my pod sat, open, was odd.

Least you think they had scheduling problems ("overlooking the cut-off time and potentially creating a late situation for another customer) don't worry, they didn't. The lead mover called from upstairs saying that they wouldn't be able to bring down anything more as it was 5 minutes until, unless I wanted to add more time. Not!

I would just say watch your clock and their activities as it gets 20-30 minutes or so before quitting time if you want them to work the full two hours. (I'd gone on to another project and question whether they were productive in that time frame).

One of the movers, towards the last 15 minutes, asked if they could have some "bottled" water. I told them I could give them some water in a glass, and did so. Actually, that activity of searching for glasses and navigating to the fridge for their water is part of what distracted me towards the end of the 2-hour job.

Both movers had cold water from my fridge. I normally wouldn't mind that, except for the tardiness, and seeming lack of sincerity in explaining the tardiness.

At the end, the leader of the crew stood over me, directing me to call the 800 number to release the pay for the job. He wasn't "overlooking" that step at all. In fact, he seemed anxious about it. Frankly, I didn't intend to dial the number with him present as I wanted to give immediate feedback. However, this guy was insistent that the payment be entered 'now.'

I wonder what the movers, particularly the lead mover, would have thought about me waiting 1 hour and 50 minutes to release the pay.

I hope that HireAHelper will take the review under consideration, particularly emphasizing privacy for the customer to call the 800 number to release the job.

Mover's response:
Arrival time was between 9 & 10am first off. Customer was called at 9 to confirm. She was already agitated for some reason, yelling"When are you coming?Did you overlook me?You should be here now! We tried to explain how the arrival time process works,But she didn't hear nothing! We apologized to her just to calm her down, because customers is our top priority. We arrived at 9:50a which is still on time.A 3rd WORKER was with us,cause we needed him for the next job! No Breaks!Work Fast!Worked 2hrs&10m
