They arrived on time and worked really hard but...
We originally hired them to load three U-SHIP containers. Our SWAG at how much stuff we had and therefore, how many containers we needed was off. They did a great job loading the first two containers and when we saw that it wouldn't fit I was able to get a 28' trailer for our move. The guys at Lucky Movers agreed to unload the containers and load the trailer. I had originally hired them for 3 hours and they ended up working 7.5 hours. I paid the O/T rate.
The problem is they did a really, really poor job of loading the trailer. I realize they were tired but that's no excuse. The didn't load boxes of the same size on top of each other. They loaded heavy boxes on top of boxes marked FRAGILE. They did a really poor job of using the furniture pads we had and/or wrapping our furniture in shrink wrap.
We moved 3,300 miles and except for three small items (one china cup, one plastic picture frame, and one piece of glass from another picture) all of the damage was to our furniture! The furniture THEY were supposed to wrap.
They did a piss poor job of loading the trailer and nearly every piece of our furniture was damaged by rubbing against some other item. They could have prevented all that damage by wrapping and/or loading properly. As a matter of fact, the crew that unloaded our trailer at the end of our move commented about how badly the trailer was loaded. "What bunch of amateurs loaded this?" "Your supposed to load the boxes first and keep them all the same."
I would NEVER recommend Lucky Movers to anyone. Nice bunch of guys but they're incompetent.

They showed up on time *twice* as I had a scheduling problem. Really easy and great to work with. Excellent and timely communication every step of the way. They were one of the few parts of my move that went perfectly.

The two guys arrived on time and were ready to work. They were very efficient while breaking down and packing up the furniture. All of our things arrived at their destination safe. We moved from Southern CA to Northern CO. I highly recommend them!!

Lucky Movers arrived on time and called one hour prior to my scheduled move time to confirm their expected arrival. They quickly began filling the container pod we had on site and did a great job in maximizing storage space.
Unfortunately, about an hour into the move they dropped a roughly 200 pound dresser and broke two of the hardwood floor stairnoses on my staircase. I informed their company of the damages but no consideration was made to fix my stairs.
The ray of hope in all this was HireAHelper.com and their spectacular customer service and attention to our needs. Their complaints department was lightning quick in stepping in to help and actually paid for the damage! AMAZING! Had I hired this moving company independently I would have never received help but because I used hireahelper it turned a terrible situation into a truly manageable experience.

Ivan was amazing at packing our POD. His skills helped to get most of our house in there. He also had plenty of packing blankets and other supplies when we ran out. I highly recommend him and would hire Lucky Movers again!

What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Expect us to come on time, be fully prepared and fully equipped on your moving day. We might give you a call upon our arrival to confirm the arrival time. Expect courteous and professional work by our movers.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Make sure to prepare a few moving blankets and may be a plastic bag for your matress. We will deliver the rest for your move.
What types of moves have you handled?
Currently we handle local and long distance moves going as far as 300 miles
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
It's meeting new people every day and seeing new places. Some workout is also big plus.
What training do you provide your crew members?
We train our movers to be precisly polite and respectful to the customer's household and its belongings. New members learn at first how to wrap and protect and handle the things. Maneuvering and moving large furniture skills next. We train our movers how to pack a pod or truck like playing the tetris game.
