We’ve had previous moves with hire a helper and the movers we get are always amazing! This company however sent one good guy and two older gentleman who couldn’t keep up. The youngest mover said the other guys were not doing much work and couldn’t keep up. I mentioned to him that if the three of them were all at his level we could have gotten the whole job done easily and with time to spare and he agreed.
The two older guys spent a lot of time just standing in the truck while the young guy ran up and down the stairs.
I watched one of the other guys toss my husbands tool box and we found the piece after broken on the lawn.
We booked them for four hours and had to add and extra hour and they were not able to finish, not even close. They were all really nice but I did have to call the owner and explain the problem and he told me they’re tired from yesterdays move and essentially that was that. So I had to pay for him sending movers that were too tired. 800 dollars later I had to call another moving company and pay for emergency service for them to come and finish up. They did the half that was left in under an hour. Highly recommend booking Born to Move instead of these guys. Hire a helper gave us 25 bucks back which was pretty insulting. They didn’t seem to really care and just kept telling me they’re tired have good reviews and they’re all “qualified”. So hopefully my review will help them take someone else seriously in the future. But this will be the end of hire a helper for me.
The other really strange thing which kind of blew me away because they were nice guys( but at this time knew I had complained to the owner) went in and used my bathroom, didn’t flush and peed on the seat. Book ANYONE else.

The guys were nice, and offered to assist, but:
-Arrived separately and were late; I did not receive notice or a call that they would be late
-They came completely
UN-prepared and needed use of our basic moving tools! It should not be on customer to supply moving dolly, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc..
-They basically handled things with care, BUT ended up moving a dresser UPSIDE DOWN, and suggested/thought leaving it upside down in the POD for the multi-state move would be fine!
I insisted they did put the dresser upright, which they unhappily did!
-They used tape on furniture doors (to keep them closed) which fortunately did not take the finish off!
-They were slow, and took a lunch hour.. I would not deny them a break, but for a 2-3 hour block of time that they arrived late for, and took a few other breaks at, could have planned better! Their lunch break was OVER 30 mins—they were late starting and lunch was closer to an hour, but I was billed all but 30 mins for their service!
- I did not get the impression they were “movers” per say.. did not seem like they did this regularly… they tried but really were laxical and didn’t know some of the basics for packing and moving.

They were on time, had a dolly and wheeled cart, and took care with all of my belongings. I would absolutely use them again, they did a great job.

Hire a helper did a wonderful job. The kept me informed on the exact they would be arriving and worked very hard to get the job done. The apartment my daughter moved into was on the 5th floor no elevator. Never not one complaint from the helpers. They were awesome, I would definitely use them again!

Derek and Leo from Ready2Go Movers were SO helpful with our move to Maine. They were incredibly kind and respectful, on time, and went above and beyond to get the job done. They finished faster than we expected and all of our stuff was handled with care. I would definitely use their services again next time we move!

Very friendly guys, and they got the move done in about 85m. They were respectful with our stuff and thoughtful about the ways they were unloading.
That said, it was clear to me they were exhausted. This is one of the busiest moving weekends of the year - so I imagine they came from previous jobs - but man, they showed up sweaty and tired, moved slow, and were a little reckless here and there. Overall, they were still respectful, but probably would have been a better service as the earliest slot of the day.
