For the next four hours they worked tirelessly to help us pack our truck. They traveled with me to my storage unit and then back to our apartment to finish the job. They kept a positive attitude the entire afternoon. While they were a huge help in moving us out of our apartment they did not know how to properly load our moving truck as to maximize the space. So we ended up having them bring our stuff to the truck and we would load it.

Scratched floor, wall, railing, furniture some while moving large objects. I would say not a big deal, but I wonder if "professionals" would have brought some padding, tools, etc. to prevent scratches etc.

They did a particularly nic…read moree job of packing the truck, making room for everything, protecting each piece in furniture blankets, and tying everything down securely, even though it was a short drive. During the unload, they nicked the wall corners and door frames a few times, but the damage was limited to the walls-- the furniture itself was unharmed. Throughout the job, the helpers were courteous and professional.

And while I …read moredo have sympathy for that -- it was not helpful to my move. I confirmed with the movers that they had a route to the secondary location. But they called for directions and arrived 40 minutes after my husband and I got there. Mover openly complained about the toughness of the job on the phone to his boss who kept calling to see when they were getting done (guess someone else was waiting, huh?). I don't call moving 550 cu. ft. of stuff up to a second floor apartment that rough. I have moved the same stuff 4 times in the last two years. I know how long it takes to move, with just ourselves, and with movers. Finally, they went over 2.5 hours in labor to complete the job. And this is after they picked up a third person to help and I started pitching in as well. Honestly, it seemed like Swiftway overbooked me/the whole day's jobs. I would have appreciated a phone call simply canceling my job so you can work smarter and I would have avoided a crappy move. Instead, you just created a whole string of pissed off customers. I will not be calling Swiftway back to help with my next move.

The guys who moved me were polite, efficient, easy to work with, and didn't try to add any additional charges at any point. The service charged me exactly the estimated price, and the move happened well within the allotted time limits. I highly recommend Swiftway, and will definitely use them again when I have to move.
