The owner of the company and one helper showed up (I only ordered two people), but the owner spent half the time (literally) on the phone, so the move was very delayed and I was overcharged (since only ONE person was working).
When I originally spoke with them, they laughed at me for getting such a large truck. I told them that…read more I didn't have a lot of furniture, but I had a lot of stuff in boxes. When they arrived, all the owner did was complain about how much stuff I had "for just one person". They had been warned!
When another company, on the other end of my move, unpacked the truck, they said that they had never professional movers do such a bad job of packing a truck.
I wouldn't waste my money on these guys again.

The truth of the matter is that the tremendous amount of old and new cat feces and urine everywhere in your apartment kept me and my employee going outside for air. There was nothing funny to laugh at in your apartment. The movers on the other end did not have to work in a dangerous cat feces and urine environment as we did. E. C. I requested two helpers for two hours -- three helpers showed up with an explanation that they could do it faster. That was an indication of how they proceeded to do the work -- fast with little care for where boxes were put even though all boxes had a target room on them. Mr. Kedrick was the best! A total professional in every respect, courteous and helpful and most of all did a great job getting my truck loaded for the trip East. The people on the other end even commented on what a great job the truck loading had been and how much it had helped to keep the load stable thru all those mountain p…read moreasses and end up safely at my home in Montana. He was fast and efficient but also extremely organized and it made a big diference in the entire job. He was able to come in and look over the load, see exactly how high it had to be stacked in the truck, and then work from the ground up to make it fit beautifully and safely. I think everyone always feels they have more stuff than can fit in the moving vehicle they have. I had way more things than could fit in mine. However, Kedric and his partner in three hours fit three times the stuff in the van than I possibly could have imagined. I have moved frequently with the military and am not easy impresse…read mored by things like this but I had many bulky items that did not fit neatly into nice stacked boxes and in the end I got everything I needed loaded plus 95% of the stuff I did not need but wanted loaded in the truck. Kedric arrived on time and immediately got to work. In far less time than I could ever have imagined, the job was done. Kedric and his other employee had lugged an apartment worth of items up to the third floor in a quarter the time it would have taken me to do m…read moreyself. Both were very courteous as well, walking about 5 times the distance on the pavement AROUND the building instead of through the grass so no dirt was tracked into the apartment. The crew made unloading the truck the LEAST painful part of the entire move. They took great care with my furniture and home, unloaded quickly, and assembled the big stuff. I would recommend them to anyone looking to load or unload a home.

I was very pleased with E. C. Movers. They were on time, courteous and very professional. The owner called to intorduce himself and notify me that E. C. Movers had been given our move. He confirmed the place and time of the move with me and asked if I had any questions. He called again a couple times to prior to the move…read more to followup and assure me he would be there on time and ready to move my mother.
E.C. Movers furnished their own moving equipment and "wrapped" and secured loose drawers and other items to prevent damage. They were careful and secured everything in the truck I had rented. I would definately recommend E. C. Movers to my family and friends. They made the move much less stressful. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

E. C. Movers was great! The movers brought hand trucks and floor coverings. They were on time and called ahead to make sure everything was ready. They were polite and courteous and didn't waste any time getting started. They made sure all of the furniture was properly covered and tightly wrapped. The experience was terrible. Initially everything seemed fine, unfortunately I had never used movers before and wasn't sure how many or how much time would be needed. As a result I didn't reserve enough people, however even after expaining my needs no mention was made that more people would be best, and it took a loooong time.…read more After a few hours the second person packing went to get cigarettes and the only vehicle they had broke down. I ended up driving the owner around town looking for the other person, as well as letting him use my cell phone because his was out of minutes. While I wasn't charged for the time it was extremely inconvenient and added stress I didn't need. I was willing to let that go until we were unloading. I had been reassured that everything would be packed well so there would be no damage, that was not the case. My glass top stove had several items placed on top of it without proper protection and as a result was broken, the elements were destroyed as well. We also had very deep scratches on the dryer door, a book shelf and our floor lamp was bent and can't be used. It has taken us awhile to get settled so did not contact them immediately. When we did call Kedric immediately refused to compensate due to the length of time and became insulting to my husband. We are in the process of trying to work this out. Added to that I have yet to get my receipt for the amount paid, he didn't have a receipt book with him and promised to e-mail it the next day. Several days later he called and stated he had forgotten and would send it that day. I have yet to receive it. I would have to say this is a most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with.

Mrs. Jarrett: You wrote prior to move, “Mainly loading truck, possibly some packing and disassembly of some furniture. We basically packed all your rooms. Move day, you were not ready to move and you admitted it. We spoke November 22, 27, 2009 I specifically advised you to pick up furniture pads and you declined. I advised you of potential damaged, you said no problem use blankets, sheets, pillow cases. The fact is” you arbitrarily chose not to protect your furniture with the proper protection.”
