Erin and Trevon did a great job bringing all my things in from the UPack relocubes. They were very careful, and put pads down on the floor to protect the flooring. They assembled the bed and got everything in without doing any damage to doors, walls, or any of the furnishings. Great personalities, too! They seem to enjoy their work and are definitely people guys. If everybody who works for Oregon trails is like these two guys, I fully recommend them.

The guys were super nice and great to work with for us. They let us know what they were doing every step along the way. My callout for the team was they waited too late for the mattresses and did not communicate well between each other for what was still needing to be loaded. This meant we did not know until they were almost to the end that we would not be able to fit all the pieces. It would have been better to know earlier so we could have prioritized.
The rating leans more towards communication and working overall with the service.
The team was later than expected/ quoted. This delay was not relayed by the company.
Fix the communication and I would definitely use them again!

Great experience overall. We hired Oregon Trail Moving to unpack a 15 foot Uhaul truck into our apartment as part of an interstate move. They kept us informed of their arrival time the day of the move which we appreciated. When they arrived, they were friendly, worked hard and quickly. They finished a bit early and offered to help with a few other misc setup tasks. It was a better experience than what we had with the different company that we had hired to help us pack the 15 foot Uhaul at the start of the interstate move.
We were extremely pleased with Oregon Trail Moving and would definitely hire them again.

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Customers will receive a follow up confirmation email upon booking. They will also receive a courtesy call the day before the move to confirm details and to inquire about any changes as is often the case with moving. Of course, at any time prior to your move you can contact Hire-A-Helper or speak with us directly with any changes or questions about your move. Friendly answers to questions are just a call away!
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Our crews will arrive approximately 10 minutes before the scheduled time of the move and they will be waiting on-site to meet with you. They will arrive with all the specified equipment needed to complete your job as discussed and arranged previously with our staff. For every job they arrive with Tools, Dollys, Heavy Liftings Straps, Floor Runners for protection, Shrink Wrap & Moving Blankets, Tie Down Straps and more. If specified they will bring a variety of other equipment for Pianos, Hot Tubs etc.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Small and fragile items should be wrapped and boxed. Labeling boxes for your identification as well as the movers is always helpful at the other end. If you can stack boxes and arrange them so the movers are able to get to them with the Dollys this will save time and money. Stacks should be chest high and allowance for the movers to get to them should be made. Clear pathways for the movers, secure pets, and practice social distancing when the movers are on-site.
What types of moves have you handled?
We do all types of moving; Local, Long Distance, Office & Industrial. We are a Labor Moving Service. We do not provide or drive trucks. We specialize in container moves i.e. PODS, ABF, U-Pack, U-Box, & Pack Rat. Our customers also rent and drive their own trucks as well as rental moving trucks i.e. U-Haul, Penske, Enterprise, Budget, etc.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
I am proud to be a native Oregonian. I was raised on a small cattle farm in Ashland. My Parents were full time teachers and farmers and showed me the fundamentals of hard work and perseverance. I thoroughly enjoy this business. From interacting with our customers to find solutions for their needs, and getting out and assisting our crews in the field. I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your way!
What training do you provide your crew members?
Safety is always #1 ! Every Oregon Trail Mover starts as a helper and follows experienced crew leads with after undergoing a rigorous training protocol process at our headquarters. Each crew member is first evaluated for their individual talents and abilities in order to assess where they may be utilized most effectively on our team whether that be packing and wrapping, detailed inventory with computer skills, or the ability to lift heavy weight repeatedly for hours on end.
