We were really pleased as the crew was most efficient, polite and careful with our furniture. They were able to unload the 16' POD in about an hour and fifteen minutes. They used the remaining 45 mins. to help move materials from upstairs and reposition boxes and furniture within the house.
Having professional movers was tremendously helpful for us when we remodeled and had wood floors installed and refinished. If you're remodeling, rent a 16' POD for a month, hire Oregon Trail Moving to load the POD with all your packed household goods and 3.5 weeks later hire them again to unload the POD and put your gear back into your castle. The expense of hiring the movers to load and unload the POD and the POD rental was well worth it. For retired folks, I'd recommend this for anyone doing major remodeling to their home. Oregon Trail Moving has terrific employees. Most appreciated!

I was so glad we decided to hire professional movers. They were careful to wrap our tvs in bubble wrap and used blankets as cushioning between furniture pieces. They were on time, had the tools they needed and looked over the job initially to set about loading our Pod. The loading went so much more smoothly than I could ever have anticipated. They were most hard, diligent workers who wrapped and moved our property very carefully. I'd recommend them for anyone seeking to move/refinishing the flooring in their home.

Move staff arrived at the earlier end of the estimated arrival window. A courtesy call was placed prior to arrival of which was helpful & appreciated. Austin (the move coordinator) was friendly & enthusiastic as was the support team. They worked well together & were quick to ask questions to optimize clarity on our moving expectations! The job was completed in the estimated three hour window & the move team demonstrated an awareness to that timeline & worked diligently to maximize time & complete the work to avoid labor overages. We were grateful for that approach.
The only constructive feedback involved the dropping of a fragile box of breakables (did not inventory the potential damage) & the scarring of our apartment door navigating a large couch through a small & geometrically challenging space. These occurrences hardly overshadowed the total experience as the services provided strongly met our expectations. Moving can be difficult especially with time constraints & efficiency challenges. In most moving assistance situations I have contracted that is a common theme. Thank you again! The assistance with our move was greatly appreciated & money well spent!

What can a customer expect after booking with you?
Customers will receive a follow up confirmation email upon booking. They will also receive a courtesy call the day before the move to confirm details and to inquire about any changes as is often the case with moving. Of course, at any time prior to your move you can contact Hire-A-Helper or speak with us directly with any changes or questions about your move. Friendly answers to questions are just a call away!
What can a customer expect on moving day if they hire you?
Our crews will arrive approximately 10 minutes before the scheduled time of the move and they will be waiting on-site to meet with you. They will arrive with all the specified equipment needed to complete your job as discussed and arranged previously with our staff. For every job they arrive with Tools, Dollys, Heavy Liftings Straps, Floor Runners for protection, Shrink Wrap & Moving Blankets, Tie Down Straps and more. If specified they will bring a variety of other equipment for Pianos, Hot Tubs etc.
How should a customer prepare for moving day?
Small and fragile items should be wrapped and boxed. Labeling boxes for your identification as well as the movers is always helpful at the other end. If you can stack boxes and arrange them so the movers are able to get to them with the Dollys this will save time and money. Stacks should be chest high and allowance for the movers to get to them should be made. Clear pathways for the movers, secure pets, and practice social distancing when the movers are on-site.

We do all types of moving; Local, Long Distance, Office & Industrial. We are a Labor Moving Service. We do not provide or drive trucks. We specialize in container moves i.e. PODS, ABF, U-Pack, U-Box, & Pack Rat. Our customers also rent and drive their own trucks as well as rental moving trucks i.e. U-Haul, Penske, Enterprise, Budget, etc.
What's your favorite part about being a mover?
I am proud to be a native Oregonian. I was raised on a small cattle farm in Ashland. My Parents were full time teachers and farmers and showed me the fundamentals of hard work and perseverance. I thoroughly enjoy this business. From interacting with our customers to find solutions for their needs, and getting out and assisting our crews in the field. I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your way!
What training do you provide your crew members?
Safety is always #1 ! Every Oregon Trail Mover starts as a helper and follows experienced crew leads with after undergoing a rigorous training protocol process at our headquarters. Each crew member is first evaluated for their individual talents and abilities in order to assess where they may be utilized most effectively on our team whether that be packing and wrapping, detailed inventory with computer skills, or the ability to lift heavy weight repeatedly for hours on end.
