I used Hire A Helper on short notice and they were great. I only had a trailer of boxes, so it took them about 30 minutes. I would definitely use them again.

I was really not impressed by the service we received. They moved my originally reserved time slot; when the manager called to tell me about this, he said he would bring a 4th person for free to make up for it. They were not proactive about sending me timing updates on the moving day. Only 3 people arrived, despite the manager telling me there would be a 4th. I would not call their service professional. I did not get the sense that caring for my belongings as they were being loaded was a priority. They complained about how much stuff there was, despite me being very clear how large the storage units were ahead of time. As they were working, the manager was on the phone making promises to other clients that he would be there soon. Even though I booked and paid for 3 hours, there was the constant sense that we were being rushed. My partner and I ended up having to do a lot of the lifting ourselves to get the job done on time.
I can't recommend this company. I advise you to look elsewhere. They were cheaper than a lot of other options, so they might be the right choice if you have a very simple job that needs to be done without too many fragile items.
