Get Up and Go Movers LLC provides moving labor services for the DC METRO area. Our teams of hard workers are specialized in handling heavy loads of household and/or office furniture with excellent care. Our customer's satisfaction is our number one goal! Thank you.

When the helpers showed up they were hearing impaired. I am not discriminating over handicapped people but I would of liked a little warning. One of them could somewhat hear and the other could not hear. I had them scheduled for 2 hours and I spent most of the 2 hours writing down on a notepad of what i wanted to be moved into the pod first and so on. These guys looked like they have never packed a pod before. Since I was under such a short time I had to get them packed because the pods were being picked up that day. I had to even call a friend and damn near unpack both pods and repack the pods to get everything in. I let the two helpers leave at their 2 hour mark. This was just very frustrating and I wish I would of known that the helpers were hearing impaired. I could of gotten more done with day laborers from Home Depot and would of been better off with a language barrier than a hearing barrier. I speak some spanish that helps me get by from time to time. On both occasions the movers were on time and extremely courteous and professional. I have several heavy items and they moved these without any issue. Additionally, I lived on the third floor of a walk-up apartment building with very narrow stairs and …read morethey were both careful and extremely quick about moving my items from the apartment onto the moving truck. In fact they finished in less time that I had anticipated. The truck was packed expertly and nothing moved or was damaged on the 16 hour drive to my new home. I had only one issue with the entire move and it was slight. Upon unloading the truck and putting together my furniture I found that my kitchen table had damage on its edge. Based on the type of damage I can only assume the table was put down (hard) on the concrete/asphalt before being loaded in the truck but I don't believe the two gentlemen were aware of the damage. If they were aware I believe they would have mentioned it as I found them to be very honest and trustworthy. Ultimately I would use Get Up and Go Movers again in the future if I were living in the DC Metro Area. The gentlemen are responsible, kind and efficient. They work quickly and effectively.
