Both men showed up ready to work and completed everything we asked of them. They tok control of the upload and even reloaded our moving truck to put all of two apartments (one 2 bedroom and a studio plus garges from both indie a single 24 ft mover. I would gladly use them again, well worth the price. In fact I have already recommended them to others.

If you ever need a mover, call them with complete confidence. Although held up a bit by traffic (hey, this is LA) we were called with an explanation.
The three movers were courteous, professional and knew exactly what they were doing.

Late arrival on both days, however, wonderful attitude and very hard workers. They were careful with all my belongings and excellent packers! I would recommend confirming the time the day prior and allowing some extra time in case they are delayed at an earlier job. If you are first on their schedule, you probably won't have a problem.

One hour forty five minutes late to the job, after they had requested a time 2 hours earlier a few days before. No notice or contact prior to the move. I had to call them 5 minutes before their expected arrival to give last minute logistics (e.g. where the truck was located since it was around the block). Received their voicemail. When I called the second time, I spoke with the admin who said "they should be on their way, let me check and call you back". Patiently waited 20 minutes, called back got voicemail. Waited another 15 minutes, called back got voicemail. Waited another 10 minutes, called back got voicemail. Finally was on the phone with HireAHelper when they were an hour late with no contact to try and figure out new movers when they called on the other line to say it'd be another 45 minutes. I explained what had happened and would like to know how they were going to compensate for treating me so unprofessionally, they said they'd figure it out when they arrived. They blamed the no notice on their office...but I found out later they forwarded all calls to their cell voicemail. After they arrived, did a quick walkthrough and tried to get them straight to work but had to stop to talk about whether we "were ok". Some mild resistance to following directions on where I wanted stuff to go. I found out later that I even after I had clearly marked the boxes with my glassware, and they put them on the bottom of the pile (under books/files/heavy other boxes). Thank God I used bubble wrap! All around: unprofessional, and not really dealt from their end in a way that suggests they truly understand how to treat a customer right. They were in the wrong, but didn't handle it well, and used it as an opportunity to complain. I'd recommend any friends/ family/ strangers to use another service. Even though they gave me a heavy discount, it wasn't worth the aggravation and stress.

Johnny B did a good job. He himself is hustled the entire time. He had a rough go of things with some staffing issues, but he made it work.
Trouble spots: We were given an hour window (10am to 11am) for arrival. I got a call at 11am from his staff saying he'd be late. He didn't arrive for another 30 minutes. When he arrived, he was short a man - we were booked for 3 helpers for 3 hours.
The good news: As I said, Johnny hustled hard the entire time. He was very apologetic and worked to explain how we would adjust the billing to compensate for different things. Overall the job too, longer than expected - partially due to the third helper showing up over an hour late. So Johnny and I talked and he agreed to the original payment being sufficient.
The bottom line: If you're looking for someone who will place every box in the exact place you want it or are picky about things - don't go to Johnny. If you want solid help from a friendly guy and his helpers - Johnny is great. Be nice to him and he treats you well. Everything in our second story two bedroom apartment was moved in one trip with a 17' truck into our second story (with a loft) apartment. Johnny and his crew worked to get it done and took care of our stuff (even taking apart and reassembling our dining room table). For the price, it was definitely worth it.

Though there was a transportation issue Johnny and his staff did a great job in a shorter period of time than expected.Johnny is professional, works quickly and efficiently.
I will most likely be moving again shortly and will hire them again for the whole move, from packing the truck to unloading the truck in the new house.

Johnny saved my move! I was trying to coordinate timing of moving assistance with the delivery of a "Pod" storage unit. The "Pod" organization kept changing the delivery and pickup schedule and as a large company, was very cold and frankly didn't care how these things impacted me as the operator explained I was "one of 80 deliveries for the day". I was very frustrated and concerned that I wouldn't be able to get the Pod there at the right time I had arranged with the movers - I thought I wasn't going to be able to get it done and I only had 1 day. I called Johnny late on a Friday night to explain what happened and see if he could change timing to align with the storage unit delivery. He was very sympathetic and accommodating. He rescheduled the time-frame, called to keep me appraised of minor delays, and arrived with another helper ready to get the job done. He was very methodical in approach, reviewing all items and discussing strategy before beginning. They were both kind and considerate to my concerns, ensuring to wrap the furniture carefully. They were patient with me as I was still finishing putting some boxes together while they were loading in the furniture. When the loading of the unit was complete and I went down to look at it, I was very impressed with how meticulously the content was loaded, packed, and secured. They took very good care of my things and showed me the consideration that larger organizations don't. I was very fortunate to have selected Johnny "B" Movers to help with my move - they really did save the day!

Our day started off on the wrong foot as the two movers arrived over an hour late. But they quickly put my concerns to rest as they busted their tails for the next two hours straight moving all of our stuff off of a fully-loaded 26 ft truck! They came well prepared with all the necessary equipment, plus seemed to know all the little "tricks" that make them well worth the fee. They were organized, meticulous and most importantly, hard-working. I really enjoyed talking with them as well, and even shared final thanks over a few cold beers.
These guys are top-notch, and when combined with their very reasonable rates, I would be shocked if there were any better movers out there! Thanks again guys, you were the best!

Lydia and her crew were very helpful and friendly. They got everything packed in just over two hours. We drove over 6 hours up and down hills and over bumpy roads and nothing moved. The truck even had a lot of extra room. Great service and I would recommend them to anyone.
