I really enjoyed working with Maybaum Movers. They were respectful, nice guys and moved all my things quickly and efficiently. The guys were late due to another move but immediately informed me of the delay and keep me updated with their ETA. Overall, super happy with them!

Took 2.5 hours to move 8 pieces of large furniture and that does not include travel time between moving locations. Showed up at the wrong spot. Definitely smoked marijuana just before arriving at my residence. Used dolly's for no reason which made everything take longer. Would not recommend or use again.

I'm slow to write anything less than a glowing review on businesses, especially because I too have been a small business owner and cringe at some of the things people choose to complain about. Be that as it may, this move has been way more stressful than it should be. I am moving across country and live in a 3 level townhouse I had reserved 2 PODS: 1 to be sent to storage, the 2nd to be sent to my new home. I hired Maybaum, at HireAHelper's recommendation, for 2 different days: the first to move items into the first PODS, and the 2nd several days later to load the 2nd PODS. When Maybaum arrived with 3 men, they said early on that they believed they could fit everything in a single PODS. After they had finished the 1st day, I again asked if they could fit everything in one PODS, and was given a confident yes. When the same movers arrived for the 2nd moving day 4 days later, after I had cancelled the 2nd PODS, they told me immediately it was unlikely to all fit. I then had to upend my plans and rent a UHaul to drive across country. The movers suggested a small truck would be sufficient. When I returned with a 10' truck, they said they had to leave for their next job, leaving a ton of my things still left unloaded. I had to hire a different moving company to finish the job. Here's the kicker, the 2nd movers took one look at everything left still to be loaded and told me I needed a truck twice as large as the one I rented! I had to quickly exchange my 10' UHaul with a 20' UHaul! To top it off, the 20' truck is completely full. How any professional mover could say that all my stuff would fit in a single large PODS, when it took a large PODS and a 20' truck, is beyond me.
To make things worse, the 3 guys with Maybaum spent 6 hours to load only half my stuff. The 2nd movers I hired, with only 2 men, loaded the entire 20' truck in just 3 hours, and that included carefully wrapping all of the furniture they loaded carefully in blankets and plastic wrap. They were way more efficient than Maybaum.
I have to say I'm very worried about my furniture in the PODS because much was packed unwrapped, my leather loveseat was packed in on it's side, and my Ethan Allen sofa was packed unwrapped and with things stacked on top. I'll find out after driving a 20' UHaul truck 2300 miles across country, not what I had planned for a leisurely trip across country.

Our team kept in contact prior to the move so I had expected great service. They were quite late, but did communicate with vague excuses. We were unsure if they were going to show up so we started unloading without them. When they arrived they were polite and kind but extremely unmotivated, not filling the elevator up before bringing boxes up so it was slow. After 1.25 hours one of the guys said, "well, that's 2 hours" and asked if they should stay late. I was shocked because they were so late, then cut our time when we had 40 minutes left of time we paid for. It was extremely uncomfortable & inconvenient.

These guys were great. I was really worried that all my stuff wouldn’t fit in my pod, but they were excellent packers and were very careful with my things. They worked really hard, I would definitely hire them again.
