(4 out of 5 rating)

Technically I used ZippyShell, but the container was PackRat and it was serviced by PackRat. They're part of the same parent company. I was mostly very satisfied, but my container ended up being 15+ days late because they couldn't find a truck to move it. That was extremely disappointing. The $200 they gave me back was appreciated, but didn't actually compensate me for the things I had to buy new because mine were on the pod.

We've use ABF UPack trailers for two cross-country moves in the past five years. As long as you don't mind packing your own items and loading into a trailer, it is a VERY cost effective way to perform a move of this type.

ABF ReloCube Review
(4 out of 5 rating)

Upack exceeded my expectation 100%. After reading reviews, I must admit that I was skeptical. Lets face it, moving across country is stressful to say the least and I combed the reviews with a very fine tooth comb. In the end I took the plunge and just did it and so glad I decided to go with upack. They allowed me to keep coming back to the facility to fill up the cube as I had plenty of space left after the movers finished loading what they were able to load from the uhaul truck. Customer service for UPACK is unbeatable! Much much better and cheaper than PODS. PODS costs was nearly double and the customer service reps were less than desirable despite the awards they say they have received. It musty have gone to their heads. The fact that UPACK will allow you to order as many cubes as you think you need and not pay for any that you don't end up using was amazing. It allowed me to be able to tip the driver that delivered the cubes to my new residence pretty good and he was extremely grateful and happy. I would use UPACK again and again! I can't recommend them high enough. Also being able to track where my cubes were along the way was amazing. I wasn't left wondering where things were in the process. It took exactly 5 business days and that allowed me to comfortably drive across country and get tpo my new residence and further prep for the cubes to arrive. Nothing really shifted too much. Only one item was broken and that was because of the way it was packed by the guys that loaded the cube. My father was able to fix that once I arrived at my new ALLLLL good! Please ignore all of the less than favorable reviews and realize that alot of factors go into people's items being broken, the number one reason is that people don't know how to pack. Buy heavy duty boxes and padding, bubble wrap, etc. I see pictures of people items VERY poorly wrapped. Take time and pack your things like you care about them and stop blaming a truck that is naturally going to experience bumps in the road, etc. That's YOUR fault - not UPACk's.

Budget Truck Review

I really liked Jabril Mohamed who we dealt with picking up our truck and returning it. He is a nice guy, very pleasant and hard working. I got a great deal on mileage and chose to return my truck to his site even though it was 340 miles. I was able to leave my car there and it was safe. They have after hours drop off for keys also, I would use them again!

Truck was clean. Pick up was easy. Everyone we spoke to was very friendly and helpful! We moved out of a 1200 square foot townhouse and used the 26 foot truck. We did need to fill our cars with random odds and ends and we have a TON of stuff but were able to fit most of it in the truck.

Penske is only about 1/2 to 2/3 the cost of Budget or enterprise, and for me work out a lot better. They assume that the renter is not an idiot, and provide excellently maintained equipment, without mileage charges and very reasonable extra-day charges.

Uhaul Truck Review
(4 out of 5 rating)

The amount of mileage allowed before charging extra was not even close to the minimum I needed to get the truck to the loading point, then get to the destination, then drive to the drop off point Uhaul wanted. I did not go anywhere else. Other than that, no complaints. I rented two trucks on different days and the above applies to both.

We just need a storage container to store furniture during renovation work being done in our home. Pack rat is wonderful and so easy to work with! Ernie brought the container, placed it where we needed it and was very pleasant in the process!!! Pricing is very reasonable compared to other companies that I priced. Container was spotless! I would use this company without hesitation!!!

ABF U-pack Review
(5 out of 5 rating)

Delivery was on time and all the equipment I needed to get my items in the trailer were there (the ramp and separation sections). The drivers are all experienced and capable of getting into tight spots. The trailer solution was the best option for me since I did not want my shop items mixed with my household items. They give you an excellent amount of time to pack and unpack. Trailers are in good shape and clean. They may look rough on the outside but inside it's dry and clean. After all these trailers are on the road constantly unless they are in storage with your items. Good company very nice people to work with and eager to please.

ABF ReloCube Review
(4 out of 5 rating)

I've used this company before. We used a large trailer. They drop it off, you fill it, they pick it up and take it to your new location. Its important to pack you own stuff well so that it does not get damaged on the trip. We wrapped our furniture in blankets as well as shrink wrap. Boxes need to be sturdy, especially if on the bottom of the pile. By doing some or all of the packing or loading yourself, you spend less on the move. The large trailer comes with a ramp, so be ready to work with that as you load or unload. The trailer floor is about 4 feet off the ground. We hired loaders for most of the heavy lifting, but also did some of the work ourselves. When you learn which phone numbers to use for what, you can get all your questions answered and handle the details.
