I have a couple of difficult pieces which is why I hired help. First, they sent a woman as one of the helpers, which I wasn't thrilled about because I do a have a larger piece that she wasn't able to help with on the stairs. Then, they tried to get my couch down to the truck …read morefirst. The guy wasted about 20 minutes because he was adamant to get my couch in the elevator, the whole time the woman was telling him it had to go down the stairs, which it did. I also felt he acted annoyed when he realized the couch had to go down the stairs and when I wanted the love seat put into a back bedroom. The other major piece I have is an EXTREMELY heavy dresser. When I moved in, I hired two guys who were able to carry it up 4 flights of stairs. With this move, they did get it to fit in the elevator, but then they couldn't even get it down a half flight of stairs. The guy asked a RESIDENT to help him which I felt was completely inappropriate. When we finally got to the new home, a neighbor had to run over to help him get it into the house. The neighbor seemed more fit to be working as a mover than my actual movers did. Overall my goal was to get the major pieces on the truck and moved into the within the 3 hours, which they would have done if he had not wasted 20 minutes trying to stuff the couch into the elevator. So the major goal was completed and while I haven't completely unpacked, nothing major was broken. They did leave a minor scratches to the new floor and scraped up the door way into an office that will need to be painted over. Based on experiences I have had with other companies, I would not use this company again. Other companies within the same price range have had have been a much less stressful moving experience. I had hired helpers previously for a similar task, and it took no time at…read more all, so I expected that the time I selected would be more than sufficient. When the helpers arrived, we had already loaded all of our boxes into the truck, leaving only furniture. They seemed to view this as an excuse to downshift, and they moved unbelievably slowly. It took nearly two hours to bring our small amount of furniture down one (wide) flight of stairs and into the truck. I expressed concern to them twice that within the time frame allotted we were still going to be stuck with the bulk of the unpacking, but that did not motivate them to move any faster. When we got to the new house, they managed to bring the furniture in and some of the boxes, but left us with nearly as much as we'd packed ourselves, as if they felt because they hadn't packed it it wasn't their job to unload it. Overall, it was not indicative of the services I previously received with another company and expected to receive this time around, and I will not use this company again. Show Response
