The POD delivery, placement was perfect. The container was clean and well maintained. Only “hiccup” was when we had to do because the POD center being closed that day. I did not understand why they would let us schedule it online for a day when the office was closed and wait until a week before date of delivery to let us know. Crazy.
PODs is a good option for moving. I just am in awe of how much they are. And when told that the POD would be delivered in 5 days, then to find out the soonest date was 2 weeks later was a big surprise. I would have packed and taken things differently if i knew it would be 2 weeks before i got all my essential stuff. All in all the transportation of the PODs were great and all my belongings were in tact and nothing was broken. 2800 for drop off, pick up, transfer, drop off and pick up and it includes one month rental.
Really enjoy moving with PODS. It makes the painful process of moving a bit less painful. The cost was fair for a cross-country move. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that our pods were delayed a week due to a truck breaking down. Once the PODS reached the destination city, they only are able to deliver to our area 2x per week, which ended up further delaying our PODS. Overall I'm very satisfied using PODS for our move and would utilize them again in the future.
My experience with PODS has been extremely disappointing due to ongoing issues with accessing my online account. Despite multiple attempts over several days, I have been unable to log in to the portal. Each time I contact customer service, I am required to spend an excessive amount of time re-explaining the same issue, only to be told repeatedly that the problem is due to “technical issues.” After numerous calls and assurances that the issue would be resolved, I still do not have access to my account. The lack of progress, combined with the repetitive explanations and absence of a concrete solution, reflects poorly on the company’s technical reliability and customer support processes. For a service that relies heavily on online account management, this level of inconvenience and lack of resolution is unacceptable.
Will never use them again either. Not only was the container a lot smaller than the reps described to the point I am still needing to rent a U-HAUL but PODS were the ones that recommended a loser company called Moving Staffers Marketplace. This whole experience has been a disaster and next move I will definitely go back to the old school way of renting a U-HAUL and doing it myself! Biggest Rip Off artist I have worked with in a very long time! I wish I would have given RatPack a try. I here they are amazing.
PODS grossly underestimated the number and size of PODS that we needed for our move although we went into GREAT details telling them exactly the size and contents of our house. As a result we now need to secure another day of moving and another means for moving many of our household items. Very frustrating.
The containers were good. One had some beetles, but they were not the kind that create an issue. The delivery service was excellent - the drivers were friendly, skilled and careful. The back office support was mixed. Our names were recorded incorrectly, which caused a form to be created incorrectly which, when discovered, led to the cancellation of one of our shipments without the effective and quick resolution that would have been easily possible if they had just called us to explain. Instead they sent us requests using some mix of broken web tools and mishandled PDFs. All of this delayed our move-in by a week.
