The drop off was frustrating because first driver refused to leave Pod because it had snowed and driveway was alittle wet; therefore I had to reschedule movers to next day. Upon Pod pick up, driver reprimanded me for not locking the Pod correctly and said it was my responsibility, even though I had no idea it was not completely closed, I found him to be rude, disrespectful and unprofessional.
The order process was easy - used the customer service agent to line up all details and he did the math to get us the best total rate with using a AAA discount. We need to store contents until Spring and PODS ability to offer move + inside secured storage of the container is a perfect answer. We had thorough and timely communication throughout the process. Drivers were friendly and professional, and gave some tips to help us plan the loading. Container was clean and fully functional for our needs. Definitely recommend this option for a cost-effective move!!
Pods customer service was excellent when I first contacted them to ask about their services, and make my purchase. However, a problem came up later which was their fault, not mine. I have lost count of how many phone calls I had with them, and discovered that Pods has a major internal issue: Pods people do not update, or likely even read notes put in the system by each other. This means I had to explain the whole story over and over, and panic every time I got another email or text or voicemail telling me to contact them right away. They sent me literally 10 emails a day, and I lost count of how many texts. I did not need this stress or waste of my time at all during a severely time constrained move.
Great way to ship the contents of a one-bedroom apartment cross country. I liked the fact that they give you a month to complete the move, which enabled me to pack carefully without rushing. In our case, the Pod solution was ideal - and better than hiring a moving company or (gasp) renting a moving truck and doing it ourselves.
