Frustration I had such high expectations and was hit with road blocks everywhere. When I first scheduled with PODS, everybody was very helpful. It was easy to get people on the phone and then after that forget about it. Additionally, when the guy came to drop the POD off, he arrived, knowing that it wasn’t gonna work out in our driveway because the dispatcher had looked at the space prior to sending out the POD. In those circumstances, the people who booked it should have looked at it also and not been so eager to schedule the service considering it was not able to fit in my driveway. I was very lucky that one of my neighbors let me put it in there. Otherwise I would’ve been upper creek with without the barrel. Then, on the other end, when it was supposed to be delivered, I don’t know if it was a miscommunication or what, but that was not as planned either. It was late by two days. And I had other plans and that was a conflict. And then when I was trying to figure out what time they would be there because I had the people coming to help unload it, I couldn’t get a specific time from them until quote after 6 PM“ and then after 6 PM I still couldn’t get information until like 8 o’clock and I had to call and call and call and I couldn’t get anybody and it was just one giant frustration
While PODS delivered my container on time, my overall experience with their customer service and technical support was extremely disappointing. When I encountered a serious issue with the container door not opening, I reached out to their support team and was assured I would be treated as a priority. Unfortunately, that promise was not kept—there were no follow-up calls, no technician visit, and no real effort to resolve the issue. PODS seems to outsource everything—from the call center to the drivers—which makes it difficult to get consistent or accountable service. I ended up having to use a crowbar to force the door open, risking damage to the unit and my belongings. That should never happen with a professional storage company. This experience was frustrating, and it made an already stressful moving process worse. If you need reliable post-delivery support or quick issue resolution, PODS may not be the best choice
there is always a delay, an issue or problem with pods. the people were all nice, but nothing was done as they said. Cost me double for everything due to so many issues. this has been a nightmare, and I doubt I would go this route again. Promises made, not kept. Always delays, and delays. Then on this end they do not work every day, then tried to have me wait another week to get pod picked up. Was promised all would be done by a certain day. sadly, they delayed again. The local manager has tried to do all he could, but still pods seems to fail.
Excellent and on time positioning of the 8 x 16 POD. This size POD was adequate for moving the large furniture I had. I could have used another midsized POD but elected to move the rest of my goods with a follow on Uhaul truck a week later. Both methods of transportation will arrive within one day of each other. I would definitely use PODS again knowing what I have to move.
They neglected to provide moving blankets as requested and paid for. PODS also missed a delivery and did not call to explain. Fortunately, I was able to reschedule with our unloading company without penalty. PODS is about selling their services but not great with follow-up. I will say that all the container drivers were friendly and professional.
We needed three big containers. The first container was clean and in good shape. It had lots of tie down points available. The second container was dirty, it had sand all in it and even on the walls. It also had a wooden 4 x 4 beam support structure inside. There were a handful of eye bolts in no particular order. I was definitely not prepared to have to install or move around eye bolts. Still waiting to receive container number 3.
When we opened the door to the pod at our new location the contents were against the door and some items were broken. You really have to use their tips for loading and securing. Everything had shifted, but they rescheduled me several times upon request and were very courteous. They were on time picking up and dropping off the containers.
