I booked a 12’ truck from Budget in Allston,Ma one month prior to my move to make sure I move out of state smoothly.Budget recommended this sized truck based on the information I gave of wanting to move out of a 1 bedroom with dining area. One day before my move Budget Allston calls me and cancels the truck.The assistant was so non caring and offered no help what so ever.Extremely unprofessional customer service.All he cared about was the fact he had to call people to cancel their trucks.He offered no further assistance.I had already booked & paid for movers on both ends of my move and all I needed was the most important item in a move,the truck!!!I thought I was being organized by booking the budget truck a month in advance but I had no idea of what an unprofessional company I chose for the most important part of my move out of state! I suggest Budget just gets an automated service installed because their customer service is zero.I proceeded to call the main Budget and then got a more helpful customer service that criticized the Allston branch.But did not manage to get me a truck.He told me to just keep waiting until they find me a truck.After a few hours of not hearing from Budget I called U haul. Uhaul booked me another truck immediately and highly recommended an even bigger truck than Budget had recommended based on my move list of items.The truck was perfect & fully equipped. If you want a professional truck rental that won’t let you down with excellent customer service use Uhaul and stay away from extremely unprofessional Budget.

truck did't have a radio, made for a long drive. Also the left turn signal on the trailer we rented didn't work.

I had to change my plans due to Covid and I had to jump through so many hoops to get them to honor my original quote. They also changed my pickup time without informing me. Had to jump through hoops to get that changed also. I was told to return my truck to a location that was closed, then I changed by drop off location because of this with their customer service, TO A LOCATION THAT NO LONGER EXISTED, which I only found out about once I pulled up in the truck. I ended up having to drive to a third location to return the truck. It was quite a hassle, but I guess that's what you get for using the cheapest moving truck company in the game.

The budget truck worked well for us at a great price.

My only complaint is that there is not a size between 16 and 26 ft length. With a 2 bedroom apartment it recommended 16 but it was a challenge to get everything on.

The great price is not worth the poor service.

I was very happy with the truck rental overall. The truck was in good working order and I had no issues with it mechanically. I picked up the truck in NJ and drove it to Florida. The NJ location was very helpful and I was in and out of the office in under 20 minutes. Dropping the truck off in Florida was another story. My truck reservation included a drop off at Budget Truck Rental of Largo. I can not recommend this location. The location had limited hours due to Covid19 which I understand however the website was not updated so I arrived to find a note on the door telling me the location was closed. I was not pleased with that but I said ok and figured I'd come back the next day. The next day I showed up at 8 am as that is the what the taped up sign on door said was the time they opened. No one showed up until 8:45 am. When I questioned the employee I was told they had new hours starting that day of a 9 am opening time. When I asked why the sign wasn't updated there was a nasty response about Budget not updating the website. When I responded that the sign on the door is handwritten and the location is independently owned - I got a dirty look. Seriously, I just paid Budget $1265 dollars to move and you could care less about me the customer. How hard is it to update your handwritten hours of operation and what business who cares about their customers doesn't update hours BEFORE they take affect. I can not recommend this location. Once it was my turn it took 5 minutes to hand over the keys etc. so I waited on line for 60 minutes for a 5 minute transaction. Also, I don't understand why the location doesn't offer after hours drop off. The employees did not look at the truck at all so offered no additional service that would warrant me having to drop off the keys in person. Overall I would recommend Budget Truck Rental.

I'm not really happy with the truck I got. Budget managed to duplicate my reservation, which I had to cancel during the middle of getting the getting my truck loaded.

The day before my move, I got a call that there was no truck for me from the original Budget office. I had to call customer service and have them try to find me another truck. Luckily it worked out because I had movers on both ends along with a plane ticket to return here to get my car (because they also did not have a carrier available for me to tow it) and I would have lost what I paid for all 3 things if no truck was found for today. Thanks to Bob at customer service for his help

Digital system failed when we went to pick up truck so we lost an hour but they compensated us.

The size truck we reserved was not available so I was provided a larger truck at no extra charge. The store clerk was very helpful and the truck was clean and ready to go.

Delivered as promised. I even got an extra day for free. Would highly recommend.

To quote a Seinfeld episode- “You know how to take a reservation “ “You just don’t know how to hold the reservation” We were alerted a half hour before rental truck pick up time that no truck was available; they said they had been trying since the day before to find one - why were we alerted right as we were to leave to get it? We had movers coming and we were on a time constraint! We had to end up finding one at the last minute after much frustration with Budget. Never again!

These guys were professional and very accommodating. I highly recommend them.

I was supposed to have a 16ft van available for me for pickup on May 7th at 12:00 and when I got to the location they did not have one on the lot. The employee behind the desk was very apologetic and made some calls to see if she could find me one. She could not, I ended up having to rent from U-haul which cost more. I was on a tight deadline and this was a very stressful situation, especially because I had contacted Budget the day before Wednesday, May the 6th to confirm that the vehicle would be there.

Truck was old. Gas tank cover was not attached by wire hook and signage on back of truck was horrible, pealing off. Inside of truck where passenger and driver sit was unkempt.

I rented a 16 foot truck to drive from Georgia to Florida. Surprisingly this truck was very easy to drive, however it was a bit noisy in the cab. It was large enough to fit everything I needed to move with me. Both the rental check in and the return location were very easy to get to and the person helping me was very informative and answered all of my questions. The price was very favorable and included unlimited mileage, so it was much cheaper than hiring a moving company. I will definitely use Budget rental trucks again. I did add the full insurance/road side assistance to the rental which added to the cost, but since I was driving alone between two states, I wanted the assurances that came with the Insurance and road side assistance.

Enjoy the service I received with Budget from booking online, picking up and returning the truck. The employees In both locations were very courteous and friendly. The truck itself was great easy to drive just hard to climb in if u have bad knees and hips like I do. My dog slept very comfortably on the middle seat.

The ramp got stuck and we couldn't use it for the majority of the move. Which sucked!

If it were based on Mr.Scott it would be excellent, he was amazing he went out of his way to bring the tow dolly for the car to us because the movers were so late. He gets an A+++. The truck itself was filthy, when we disinfected the inside it was pretty dirty and then the truck itself needed a good sweep.

The basic move went OK. A large truck was hard to manurver.

Was able to pick up truck earlier than scheduled. Friendly and professional staff. Will use Budget and Kilgore's again.

Truck is old and worn out. Would not recommend using this rental.

High mileage wore out loud 16' truck and tow dolly. Truck averaged 6.8 mpg travelling across Interstate 80. Tow dolly required replacement 1/2 way through the trip. Truck required a new tire 3/4 the way through the trip.

approximately $400 for cargo van and I added $179 for van insurance coverage. Very nice van, good a/c, radio, easy to drive and clean.

Better price than Uhaul. Great service, very easy and flexible.

The truck was fine and did the job, but there was gasoline or oil or something spilled in the truck when I collected it and when we dropped it off we were expected to fold all the moving blankets ourselves. It could be we just had bad luck. For an in-town move, I'll probably just do uhaul.

Budget was terrific. I called the location and rented the cargo van directly through them. It was clean and ready to go when I got there. It was a pleasure to drive - so much easier to handle than the 11' truck. And the return was equally as easy. I have used U-Haul in the past, but Budget will be my go-to for any future rentals.

The truck was comfortable to drive in and easy to navigate. Also got a little better gas mileage than I was expecting. The only down side was that the cabin didn't look like it has been wiped down at all. The cup holders were grimy and crumbs were everywhere. I made sure to wipe it down myself before sitting down.

this Budget location was not so great... we would not recommend nor would we use again in the future. We reserved a truck with a lift and drove further to this location to get a truck with a lift. We also paid more for the lift. THEY HAVE NO LIFTS AT THIS LOCATION. The person was a jerk. Do not use this location. He also told us not to leave our car in his lot as it is very unsafe location. Never again.

Truck was filthy inside. Wiped it down with towels and they were immediately soiled. Tires in the trailer were bald which was unsettling during the trip. Service, however, was spectacular!

The employee and customer service was excellent! The truck was gross though. I think there was an entire cheetos bag worth of crumbs left in the console, mysterious oil substance in the door pockets, air vent covers broken off, only one cup holder, and no cruise control-for a scheduled 1700 mile move!

Great truck, I have used Budget many of times for different moves and there trucks seem to always get the job done with a good price. You get what you pay for and Budget keeps their trucks running smooth and clean.

Truck was dirty and a little beat up but hey it got us there and it was priced better than the competition
