They were good for moving the bulk of our household, still will need to use U-Haul for the remainder.

We loved how Josh of A.B. Industries LLC moved our stuff into the packrat. I hired three people for 4 hours and Josh was so good they were done in one hour. Hire a helper did refund one hour. Hire A.B. Industries LLC and you will be very happy with the results and hope you have Josh ans his crew as your movers..

U-Haul came through for me from the disastrous Pack-Rat container not holding any of my furniture. I was able to find a 26' U-Haul truck at the last minute, store my things in a U-Haul storage for 2 weeks in Texas and was able to rent another U-Haul truck to have the movers move me into my new place in TX. Thank goodness for U-Haul. All in all Pack-Rat was useless, was told the wrong info for holding a 4 bedroom home. I would never use 1-800-PACK-RAT or any type of container again.

Containers in good condition. Able to correct mistake of missing lock within the hour. Very timely in all communication. We ended up needing an extra container and during very busy time for them, they were able to arrange the delivery and pick up in time we needed. Have already recommended to a friend.

1800Packrat and hireahelper is the way to move long distance when you don't know the area, and haven't made friends yet to help unload your belongings. Simple. Would do it again.

PackRat was cheaper than other competitors, but there were just a bunch of careless mistakes all along the way. The driver who delivered the container did not write the serial number of the container down correctly. The driver who picked up the full container thought he was picking up an empty container because the wrong color of hi-lighter was used on the form. I was billed twice for the initial deposit. The "move coordinator" didn't communicate very well, and failed to tell me anything about when my container actually left the initial warehouse and arrived at the other, or anything about final delivery or retrieval of the empty container. Granted, none of the above are very much of a big deal on their own, but when applied in combination their power to erode the confidence, reputation & professionalism of the company should not be overlooked. Sure, you get some cool stuff like a bunch of packing blankets & a lock. But I'm of the opinion that those are no substitute for a firm that has their act together.

So far Rat Pack has lived beyond expetations, but it is yet to be delivered. This will be complete when the move is complete.

Pack rat had the most affordable portable storage unit out there for our local move. We underestimated how much stuff we had and had to rent another - the 16' pod was way too small for the things we were putting in storage! Took several days to schedule another. The driver had trouble unloading the pod on the city street in front of our house - he needed more than the 3 car lengths we had reserved.

Pack- Rats was an excellent company to work with up until the payment side. On the day I set my appointment the woman on the phone was extremely customer service savoy. She worked hard to earn my business. She was so good that I canceled my move with "PODS" because of their lack of customer service and her willingness to make me happy. I had unusual requests and Pack- Rats accommodated me with everything. The drivers were courteous, thorough and made you feel good about using the company. The only thing that was frustrating was the end when we tried to do a third party payment and was told that we could take a picture and send the info via e-mail by a gentleman which seemed easy enough but Deborah B who was the payment advisor said she couldn't except this because it wasn't in a PDF format. This is were things got extremely frustrating because everything was packed so we had only our phones and being it was in the middle of moving going to a computer or fax place was difficult. I felt that Deborah was at a computer and as the gentleman had said earlier he could change the file to PDF on his end if needed. I am not sure if Deborah just didn't know how to do this or she didn't understand how stressful it is to move across state. We just wanted to pay them so our items could be on the way. In the end we paid to download an app on our phone to send Deborah B a PDF of signatures and ID pics so that we could get the move going. It was too bad that this happened at the end as everything before this experience with Deborah was very easy, friendly and topnotch for "Customer Service". I can tell you Deborah didn't care about retaining my business like the first Gal I spoke on the phone with and scheduled my service with, moving is stressful enough and we just didn't need the "attitude" on top of everything else that was going on.

Container was delivered and moved on time. Unfortunately due to pick up scheduling had to pay for about 9 days for it to sit in my drive way empty.

My move is yet to be complete. I can't review Pack Rat yet.

I have not received my belongings yet but will let you know after I unpack.

The delivery of the Pack Rat was easy to schedule online. The container was clean. The employee moving the container was always polite and professional. If I could of changed one thing it would be to schedule a shorter window of delivery time. I was able to request before 1:00 pm, but my container arrived at 9:30 am and I needed to wait until 2:00 for the movers I hired.

Considering I hate moving and having done that several times during the last 10 years this move has been alright so far... The helpers did a good job and the pack-Rat Containers arrived in time. I would use the Hire-a-helper guys again and the containers from 1-800-Pack-Rat

Professional, timely and clean trailer...very helpful with the move and all my needs

1-800-PACK-RAT worked really well for us. The driver Gene made the service something we would use again and recommend to our friends. He was professional and took the time to ensure our concerns regarding placement of the pod were meet.

The container is always a little dirty and needs to be "swiffered " but other than that everything was good.

Not sure why, but the driver for 1-800-PACKRAT took a very long time when he came to pick up the empty container. Since my street is narrow, he blocked the road completely with his truck while he positioned it to get the container. It made me wonder if he knew how to do it.

2nd container was defective in that the doors did not open and close properly, in fact we suffered some injured hands due to it. They send out someone to fix but only helped a little bit. Driver in Seattle was great tho! On the San Diego end they screwed up the pick up schedules on both containers. Initial shedule was perfect then they last minute changed it which was very inconvenient.

PODS have not arrived yet so cannot fully rate the Pack rates for this move -- last one was good and we used them again -- most cost effective solution.

No problems with Pack-Rat containers. They delivered when they said they would and made sure they placed the container in a location to my satisfaction.

Excellent Quality Service. It was recommended that I use 2 pods. It was accurate. The pods were very clean and appeared to be brand new. I was offered to purchase locks, which worked out very well. Customer service was superb. All details were discussed up front, and the crew made sure everything was perfect. I found this company through an advertisement sent via mail.

The container is constructed well so I don't have to worry about weather or vermin getting into it and damaging my items. It was easy to order and everyone from the folks on the phone to the guy delivering the container were very helpful and friendly. They also recommend movers to pack the container and the ones I chose were very familiar with the containers and how to best load them. It was all very easy.

Very convenient and efficient way to move, especially long distance. The flexibility of pick up and drop back timing makes a long-distance move much easier.

When my pod left Chicago all was good --- when the pod was deposited at my new house it looked like someone tried to break into the pod. About 6 to 8 inches from ground level it looked like someone tried to take a crowbar and pop it open. Luckily for me the locks they give to secure the pod REALLY WORKS --- Other than that problem 1800packrat is at the top of the list of referrals from me --- THANKS FOR TAKING SUCH GREAT CARE OF WHAT FEW PRECIOUS ITEM THAT I CALL MINE!!!

1-800-Pack-Rat has a great customer services. The only draw back was waiting on delivery of the POD(which is the case for all PODS) but their delivery estimate was pretty accurate from the beginning.
