They are not on time. They seem to have excuses why that is. They have a warehouse in pompano FL. but its going to take them 3 days to pick up a empty container in Boynton Beach, FL. this container is parked on a street in a gated community where you are not allowed to park your car on the street. They were also very late in picking up my full container MA
The move out end of Packrat was awful. Didn't show up when promised, misinformation given at time of order, on the whole a moving night mare. All worked out in the end, but we will see how the delivery end goes. Lots more to the story, but to long to tell. However, one of my drivers was great. Dan, he kept me informed and was very nice. FYI if you need Tucson delivery. They only deliver on M, W and F. Then only one unit at a time. That means they force you to pay for a months storage. Best of luck on your move!
Unfortunately, the trucks showed up very late in the day and in the evening (11PM) and we had less than 24 hours to pack them before being picked the following morning and afternoon. The drivers were friendly and careful. It was our understanding that they had 2 trucks out of service and that is why the delay. Aside from this, I'd still recommend them.
Horrible customer service! Made a mistake on my order, were rude when it needed to be corrected. Overcharged me, did not come at the scheduled times. Rat Pack refused to commit to specific times even when it was critical because of THEIR original mistake and the closing on my house. long wait time on the phone, no supervisor called me back. Extremely poor tracking of what was going on, every call was a completely different answer. Overall just a horrible, stressful, expensive experience. I would NOT recommend them at all.
I selected 1800PackRat for a few main reasons: cost (very competitive), able to book an immediate move, and it was a metal container that laid flat on the ground. The drivers that drop and pick-up your container for this company are excellent individuals and seem to be very happy to be working for this company. My contents arrived safely and on-time. My only suggestion to anyone that considers using 1800PackRat, would be to tell Central Dispatch to note on your file that is given to the Driver to give you a courtesy call to receive your contents. At one location I was not given the courtesy call, however the driver was professional and waited the 15 minutes for me to arrive.
Overall a good experience, but some of the details were not explained well such as there are no set times for delivery of the container which means if you have movers you have to schedule them for the following day. We also had an issue with our container delivery on a Sunday, but they fixed the situation which was very much appreciated.
Customer service was outstanding! Every interaction with the phone representatives and the drivers was friendly, respectful, and direct. The drop off was prompt and on time. A little disappointed with the pickup, it was about 1.5 hours later then when the driver called and said he'd be there. Also the container was a little damaged at its base, don't think it would cause a leak or anything, but you could see light through it. But overall I would use them again and recommend them, its a good service for the money.
Just started with using Rat Pack on the construction site. My disappointment was in the pick up and delivery of the unit. The New Jersey location was not receptive to the requested schedule time to relocate the container. I was very happy with the Hire Helper website. It made finding a great mover easy. Thank you for the assistance.
Not only late delivering the packet rat they didn't even have the courtesy to call to call. I called them, was told he would call the storage facility, 30 minutes later no call, called them back put on hold, after 10 minutes I hung up and called back, that CS Rep called me back with an ETA 2 hours past the original delivery time. I was given two different stories for the delay. Happy .... definitely NOT. Other than that things went ok, we do have one broken item that we know of, it shouldn't have been put in the box the way they put it.
Scheduling was easy and accurate. Drop off and pick ups were accurate. Not a lot of detail was given on phone about restrictions in terms of PR space needs for dropping and picking up containers. Verify you have enough space. The driver we had was excellent and he really went out of his way to make the drop off and pick ups work.
