Poor service. Delivery had to be rescheduled twice because job was not "entered in the system".

This move with Pack Rat was not a good one for me at all. It started out that when I was supposed to have the second container delivered, and it was on a Saturday, I called to find out when I was getting it and they didn't have it on record that I was getting one. The drive pulled some strings and was able to get me a pod within two hours. No lock, no blankets, no moving kit, but I got the container. That was helpful. The next thing that happened was that my containers were delivered ONE WEEK LATE!!! I was receiving the automated calls that I was scheduled to receive a container. But after not receiving it/them, I called to find out where they were. Well, lo and behold, the containers which were scheduled to be delivered in Minnesota were still in storage down in Georgia!! Wow. I had taken six days plus a weekend off work to get settled in my new place. That didn't happen! I containers were then expedited here but too little, too late. I only had a day and a half of vacation once they were unloaded to get settled into my new place. I was not happy. I had to make at least two dozen calls to Pack Rat to get answers, have them arrange movers for me (they paid the movers since they screwed up), etc. I almost went over this month on my cell phone minutes - due to all my calls to Pack Rat! Then, the last couple of things that happened is that when the first container was delivered, the drive was inexperienced and ended up digging up major holes in the lawn across the street. Not good!!! And lastly, the second container was scheduled to be picked up on a Friday but Saturday morning it was still there. I had to call, yet again, to get it picked up. The owner himself - Randy - personally picked up the container and apologized so all was good, but it was yet another call to remedy a situation. I did NOT enjoy my experience with Pack Rat and probably would not recommend them to anyone moving long distance. I will hire a moving company next time.

Pack-Rat - three 16' pods filled to capacity by weight and volume. Still in storage at their Phoenix warehouse. So far I am very pleased with their service. Review is incomplete at this time, as I have yet to find a new home. Search goes on for the perfect home for my needs.

They were excelkant. They were prompt, professioal, and adjusted to our schedule. They helped make thw stress of moving easier. I would recommend them to family and friends

Things pack containers are smaller than they appear! You need double what they tell you online! So be careful becasue you will end up paying double what you think!!!

If I had to move again, I would use this service. It gave me all the time I needed to pack and unpack.

Efficent way to move

Haven't got to destination yet. But as soon as we get their I will give our ending review. We will be packing on Saturday and I expect that I will get the same wonderful service I got today!!! Those guys were very hard workers and I appreciate them very much.

I hire these helpers to move only the items I would be storing.

Drivers on both sides were courteous and professional. Container showed up at our new home on time and with no damage to our belongings. The container held more than we expected. Great choice for us!

The units showed up ontime and were clean. Pickup happened ontime. Each driver was polite, courteous, and knowledgable. They all performed their jobs expertly and efficiently.

I had lived in my home for 30 years and disposed of a great many items from my home/garage, mostly heavy furniture. Was able to fit into a 16 ft pack rat and weighed in at 6,000 lbs. Pod arrived and was picked up on schedule by pleasant helpful truck drivers.

This is still leg one of a two leg move, but so far PACK-Rats is easily on par with PODS. I've used the other guys two times before and decided to try PR this time. The logistics and support team; that is, the representatives tagged to follow my move from door to door and solid! They called me two times before the container arrived and once during the load out. The driver was professional and fast. The storage price seemed high, but I don't expect to be in storage for too long. More to follow. Thank you.

This was the least expensive option and everything in the container arrived safely, in good order. Wish it could have moved quicker, the transport apparently takes 10 business days but its really 12 when you count pick up and delivery days.

Still using the containers for storage. So far experience with the delivery, set up and pick up has been excellent. There was a problem with one container that I had verbally ordered but it didn't show up in the system. Luckily I called to confirm a few days ahead and caught the error.

Professional, efficient but took three weeks to deliver the pod 470 miles. In general, Happy with the service would use them again!

Worked for me, especially since I have to move in stages. The drivers were very friendly, knew what they were doing and were competent in getting it done. I gather each case is different, but I had to do careful planning because the time between container pick-up and delivery can be awkward if there is only one of you and you have to be present at both ends. However there was good communication and the coordinators worked with my schedule within their restrictions.

I would highly recommend it for any move!

PackRat Company was great. Third time I've used them and all of the people I dealt with were very kind. I would recommend 1-800-PackRat.

Communication was average. They delivered on what was expected. It took a couple of days to get the container out removed which was not expected. PODS quote was a bit higher but if I have to do it again I will try them. They seemed to be a bit more organized and professional then Pack-Rat.

The container has not arrived, but so far so good.

Haven't yet completed the other side of our move. Pack Rat was much nicer and more helpful on the phone organizing the move than other companies. Felt like the pricing was a little arbitrary in that there are different promotions all the time so you could get a much better deal a day after you book and they can't really do anything about it. But overay, they were very responsive and easy to work with. Delivery of the pods at our starting location and transfer to storage went smoothly and as planned.

Pack-rat and Hire-a-helper did a wonderful job in moving us from Washington to Utah. I would recommend them to anyone wanted to move no matter how far the move is. There were respectful of our belongings, were very helpful and courteous.

No problems in my experience moving cross country to California. Drivers in both cities were great and very accommodating. I was referred to PACK RAT over Pods by a friend due to their prior experiences with both, I'm glad I went with PACK RAT. I heard Pods containers are not made of metal and smell!

They were great! Were able to drop off and pick up in the given times I had, and were willing to work with me to have a drop-off and a pick-up in the same day. They also lowered their price when I told them that I could find a lower price with another competitor.
