The guys were professional and friendly from the start. They took care to unload my container and ensure that my belongings were kept safe. S.B. and Travis made sure the container was emptied out and our bed was assembled before our time was up. I will use them for our next move!

Container was great and the company was very accommodating to my needs. The delivery person's were very polite and was very careful and accommodating in placing my container. They were always on time.

I would really consider using someone else

Our belongings were picked up and delivered with no damage to the contents. However, the original delivery pickup driver from our origin location damaged property of our apartment complex (a light & sprinkler head). Our drop-off and pickup drivers at the destination were AWESOME THOUGH. However, communication with 1-800-Pack-Rat was TERRIBLE. At one point they tried to charge us $300 more than we were quoted and we spent a week trying to get a call back or talk to anyone about it. We also had to change our delivery date and it took another week to get someone on the phone and we were panicked! We were on hold many times for over an hour and no one picked up. And no one EVER answered any phone messages we left and called us back. Every time we needed to speak to them, I had to either go through social media on Facebook or call the sales department because THEY will answer the phone even though customer service WON'T. For all the emotional distress, we wouldn't recommend them again.

So far so good. Dropped off one container and will pick-up tomorrow. Drop another and pick- up day after.

Even after giving them a week’s advance notice, the company would not deliver the pod in a timely manner and pushed it back 1.5 weeks. The delivery driver did not follow my request to set it level on a minor inclined driveway.

We are so glad we used Pack-Rat and we would use them again .

The driver of the container was top notch. He easily maneuvered the container on a very busy street and backed into our driveway. He even arrived early. Communication with the company and driver was excellent. We would highly recommend them, and would definitely use them again.

They are nice to work with. I'd recommend having the container delivered the day before you want to pack as they only give you a call an hour before delivery so you'll need to be available all day.

Would give Pack Rat 5 stars, but only giving 4 on account that once you book the unit, it's EXTREMELY HARD to get back in touch with them on the service end for things like confirming the destination address and billing etc.... other than that there were no hidden fees or charges (bait and switch) so to that I am thankful for them being upfront.

We just need a storage container to store furniture during renovation work being done in our home. Pack rat is wonderful and so easy to work with! Ernie brought the container, placed it where we needed it and was very pleasant in the process!!! Pricing is very reasonable compared to other companies that I priced. Container was spotless! I would use this company without hesitation!!!

Didn't explain exactly how they operate so I've been 3 weeks without my clothes, my furniture, my washer and dryer but worst of all my bed. Bought a new home and I'm sleeping on the floor thanks to pack rats.

Can't get ahold of them on the phone. We have waited up to an hour to talk to a representative. And, we need to know an estimate of the time they will deliver. Otherwise you can wait from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. for your container. Frustrated the whole time....

Very difficult to get a hold of on the phone, never returned a phone call. I would either hold for 30-40 minutes or try later in the evening

The pod traveled cross country with my belongings intact. However, the pod delivery to my doorstep was postponed two days, and the pickup of the empty pod was postponed several days.

Very good service, on time and very efficient. friendly drivers. Highly recommend. Used them 12 years ago, and they did well then also.

Pack Rat was outstanding. The staff is professional, hardworking, friendly, trustworthy. Price was very fair. Nothing was broken in any of the containers and we shipped 19,000 pounds of breakables. All promises kept. I would highly recommend. I’d give them an A+.

Pack Rat completely screwed me by insisting that I needed a permit for my container delivery when I did not. I had spoken to my sales rep and customer service rep over a month in advance, as well as my local municipality to confirm this. In spite of this a local Pack Rat supervisor told my delivery driver not to drop off my container, while the guy was literally standing in front of my house. This was on the eve of a cross-country move. I had to rent a 22 foot truck and drive it myself across the country taking 5 days. What's worse, Pack Rats is still trying to charge me for the container. I have about $4000 tied up in them. I will probably have to file a lawsuit for the stress they've put me through. I can't recommend anyone ever use Pack Rat. They really screwed me.

Overall a great experience so far. I haven't received my pods at my new house yet, they arrive later this week. Would have given it 5 stars but they underestimated my space needs and I got 3 16' containers but really needed 4.

The delivery of the empty container and pick up of it after we loaded it went off without a hitch. Things went haywire on the delivery end. Although we paid for a guaranteed delivery window with a same-day pickup, our container was not transported from our origin location to the destination. After calling 3 times and waiting on hold for nearly 2 hours on the morning of the planned delivery, I was finally informed that my container was still at the origin facility and the representative was unable to tell me when it would be delivered. I did not receive any updates on the status until 2 days later when I was informed that my container would be delivered on the third day. This time the container was delivered on time and picked up later that afternoon as expected. I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of communication throughout the process was infuriating.

I was coming from a 2100 sq ft home to a much smaller home and had to down size. I ordered a 16' u pack rat container. When I opened the container after it sat for 3 months, I had boxes that had shifted and fall toward the center. My fault. I did not want to have a lot of wt on some items so the packing of the container was sub par. Even though pack rat states the move carefully, things will shift. Again, I take full responsibility. So watch there videos and do what they say, Ha Ha. Set up of container and delivery went smooth, If you have an e-mail address, you can do pretty much everything on there. U Pack Rat will keep in touch with you via e mails.

I would give 1 800 Pack Rat an excellent review if it wasn't for the franchise owner here in NC. He was rude, was unwilling to stick with the date I was confirmed that pods would leave my driveway, and screamed at me on the phone. The initial call to secure the pods (Gordon), the delivery and pickup of pods in Virginia (Phillip) were all right on schedule and they kept in communication with me and followed through with their promises. Their respect of the pods and my belongings was obvious where in NC the pod kept tipping to one side. It seemed their trucks were not in the best of repair and I still have tire marks in my driveway.

Company was hard to contact and got no return calls, until we went to a facility and found a local number.

The driver that dropped off our containers (Marice) was very friendly and accommodating. We haven't had them picked up yet, but hope that experience is just as good.

The truck drivers were all good and punctual. But getting in touch with people in the corporate office is very difficult. The latest thing I need to discuss is a $200 discrepancy between my quote and my final bill.

My packing and move from Va worked like clockwork. Once in NC, everything went pretty well, until we will have waited almost 1 1/2 weeks for them to come and pick up the empty containers. I tried to reach them by email and/or phone every day with no response. Finally heard today (Friday), and they won’t be here til Tuesday.We live in a new build community, and other people were also moving in this week. Their truck had to be parked further down the street because of our containers. The movers had to move everything down the street to get to their house.

I'm not sure I'd hire them again. It was hard to get transportation scheduled through their website on the day I needed the container moved to my new address. The time was shown as not available and I needed to container to be moved before I closed on the house. But, I made a call and explained the situation and it did get moved in time. But, I was closing my house when they moved it and couldn't be at my new home and they had a difficult time dropping off the container and it ended up in front of my neighbors driveway. I tried using their website to get it moved quickly after it was emptied, but again it could not be done quickly thru their website. I left a message and no one called me back. I finally was able to talk with someone who also could not expedite getting the container moved and it is now sitting in front of my neighbors drive for several extra days.
