Was in storage for over a year with some deterioration despite the fact we were told it was an air conditioned storage.

Just wish the POD was just a little bit BIGGER. Great driver that delivered it, "Wade" , showed me how to work it and was very helpful in putting right where it need to go... THANKS. Great customer service, good price, & YES I would use them again!

When initially scheduling, I went over # of bedrooms in my home and square feet and the agent estimated that I needed one container. To my surprise, even though my movers did an exceptional job, I found out that I really could have used 2-3 containers. What that meant was that I had 3 laborers there to move and no room in my container. That meant that I needed to quickly find a mini storage and rental truck because my mover were "on the clock". VERY stressful and unnecessary if the agent who scheduled me would have properly estimated space needed. I would say - over extimate rather than underestimate. This was WAY OFF. On the other end when I was then ready to move into my new place, I was promised by phone that my container would be dropped off at my new home in the morning (8-12) and when I called to confirm the night before, I was told that was not the case. I obviously had movers scheduled for that timeframe so this put me in a very stressful situation so I asked to speak to a supervisor who then said that she would "hope" to have it delivered by 10 PM that day. I asked how on earth people are supposed to coordinate the container and the movers and she then said I should have had the one day apart. No one up to this point mentioned this or talked it through with me. I was certain my movers would not be able to accommodate and I could not lift the furniture myself. I was very frustrated with the responses, even from the supervisor and told her that is poor business practice. that I should be able to schedule my container drop and know that I can confirm my movers. She told me "It is not a perfect world that we live in". True. But not what I wanted to hear. Very frustrated, I asked for the CEO's name of Pack Rat as I wanted to communicate with them my experience with their company. She refused to give it to me and just told me to have a nice day and hung up. I then had to contact my mover after hours (scheduled to come the next morning) and ask if they could re-schedule me to the following day. They (Minutemen Haulers) were wonderful and took care of me. Only to find out that the container did in fact get dropped off at 11 am the next morning. There MUST be a better approximation and notes in the customer account as to when PACK RAT is committing to drop off and pick up containers and guidelines as to # of containers needed. They failed big time on all three. Never EVER would I use them again or recommend them to anyone! I ended up adding to my moving expenses 2 additional hours for moving labor due to the fact that I needed to rent a storage space and truck to haul it there. Labor, storage unit and rental truck twice added up significantly more - at least $500 of additional costs and certainly a tremendous amount of stress that frankly, I didn't need when I had organized everything to a T beforehand. I had an estimate from a very reputable moving company to pick up, warehouse and deliver my items for $3,000. I went with the container to avoid the double load and unload, but in the end, spent the same and had many, many unnecessary headaches along the way.

Lonnie, my driver, did everything he could to match my needs and expectation. I also have the highest confidence in their customer service staff. I had numerous other issues which they bent over backwards to help solve.

Their website says you can move on your schedule, but they are just like every other moving company, you move at their convenience. We waited over two weeks for our containers to be delivered to our new location.

Container was dropped off on time at the new location. I prefer the pack rat container design.

The container rental process and the drop off/pick up and travel, and storage in the middle, all worked perfectly. Every part was easy, except communicating with the company. I received direct numbers and extensions for my move team, and none of them ever worked. The only way I could talk to someone was calling 1-800-pack-rat, and the wait time could be quite long. But the moving process was like a well-oiled machine, and worked perfectly.

Convenient but they donot hold as much as you think

Fantastic customer service. They had to reschedule a pickup because we had a dumpster in the way, and they did not charge us for a trip charge. I thought for sure there would be a hassle in the new pickup, but customer service was calling me while i was already on the line with them. Would use them again for sure.

Stored my husbands woodworking tools about 6k pounds and a large Maple workbench for 4 years with PackRat and just had it delivered to our permanent address. Everything in the container was in excellent condition and looked just like when we was packed it.

I got quotes from several container companies for a cross country move and Pack Rat was very reasonable. Having used them before for a shorter move of 350 miles with no issues I went with them for a cross country move and they were great. The flexibility to stagger the two containers for drop off and pickup helped immensely to coordinate the move with one driveway and they were always on time with everything we scheduled. If I had questions I just called and there were no issues getting answers. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Good. Showed up on time and quickly delivered the container. The container itself had a warped front door that made it difficult to close all the way.

The pod and its contents arrived in tact. It didn't look like anything had shifted.

Pack-Rat did a great job with our long distance move. There was lots to worry about but everything went perfect !!!

Container arrived as scheduled and was placed in the proper location. Container was clean and ready to be used. Only negative was that the driver forgot the dozen of moving blankets I paid for. (it's been refunded but had to go to Uhaul to purchase blankets).

Everything arrived after 3 yrs storage and 700 miles, safe and unchanged. No damage, no moisture, no bugs, only our belongings??!!!!!!

Delivery was smooth and the driver very helpful. I was very, very impressed. They even managed to get a date close to when I was moving which other competitors couldn’t do.

Driver arrived when he said he would. He was very courteous and discussed the plan of where the containers would sit (I had ordered 2) before he got started. Once the plan was settled then he went to work quickly to get them set in place, and was out of there quickly. I would definitely use them again.

The containers came on time and were picked up on time. The hiring of the trucking company to bring my furniture to my new home is currently in place when I'm ready to get my things out of storage. Thank you for helping to make this portion of my moving easy.

POD was delivered on time and picked up on time, it was the right size and all my furnishings fit perfectly.

Had a few issues with a misquoted container move but they owned up and made it right. Drivers were prompt and did a good job getting the container placed, etc. This is a first container shipment of a three container move, thus I noted less bedrooms and square feet.

Way better than a "white glove" mover. The drivers deliver the containers on time.

Container delivered and picked up as requested. Al;l contents arrived in fine condition. Feel that my items (within ythe POD) were very carefully transported. Couldn't do any better using any other method. Thanks!

I was not pleased with the late arrival and Pack-Rat's inability to provide me with an estimated time of delivery for my on-site storage container. The Customer Service Rep. was unable to get in touch with a member of the local Pack-Rat facility that was to deliver my storage container. The delivery driver called at 4:15pm to let me know that he was called in to cover for another worker who called out earlier in the day and he was notifying customers of the expected delivery time. Although I did not pay the extra $50 for a morning or afternoon delivery, I was not expecting the storage container to be delivered after 7pm. NO ONE from 1-800-Pack-Rat called me to notify me of the possible late delivery due to a driver calling out sick earlier in the day. I didn't get to utilize the help I had or friends that were available in the morning and afternoon to help me to put my household goods and garage items in the storage container. I also incurred additional expense due to the fact that the storage container arrived late and I had to get additional help on a Sunday to get my things in the storage container. Don't know if I could recommend 1-800-Pack-Rat to my family and friends, and I am unsure if I will use their services again in the future.

They delivered the containers per schedule

This company provided excellent service. There was a slight difficulty in contacting them through the 800 number. The weight for customer service was too long, 30 minutes.

Rating good only because while booking Pack Rat, our date of pick up (full container) didn't make it into the reservation, which caused considerable inconvenience to several folks, because we were leaving the state and the buyers of our house were trying to move in! Additionally, having to wait hours to receive a call back from Customer Service is not optimal. Pack Rat did provide a discount to our total bill, which we appreciate. We were impressed with the driver and delivery and condition of the containers. We still have to have the containers delivered to our new location in a couple of weeks, but we'd most likely use Pack Rat again.

I ordered 3 pods. One of them was unable to be dropped off on time due to a truck malfunction. I had them picked up at different times and there was a communication breakdown on their end and the pod was left on the property an additional 24 hours after the house sold. It took 5 phone calls and a hard conversation with the supervisor to even get them to come when they did. I have not had them dropped off at the new property yet, lets hope my stuff has been stored well and is delivered properly.

very good, the guys gave good warning when they were on thier way and were very knowledgeable and efficient in picking the containers.

Works as advertised.

The drivers and customer services are very rude they trying to delay the container delivery to get another month rent from you. If you use their service you will be end up with helpless. Trust me the driver will not wait for you even 10 minutes and charge you $75 as no delivery charge with no prior communication. Better to say away from them instead go through all pains and pay more from your packet. Due to the driver fault i had to pay the penalty for the HireAHelper even they didn't help to reimburse it where POD does it.

We ordered 2 pods. They were delivered separately. The first driver took about 45 min to place it. He also gave my Mom a padlock that we did not ask for. The second driver had the second one placed in about 10 min. They also did not bring the 25 moving pads we asked to rent. We had to buy them while the movers waited. They did later admit they dropped the ball about the pads & took off the $105 pick up fee to compensate. Yes I would use them again, containers worked well, & seemed less expensive than Pods.

Moved a small restaurant's equipment from Massachusetts to northern California. Much cheaper than replacing the gear, either used or new. Pack Rat's commercial container was the perfect size for doing this.

DIDN'T DELIVER WHAT I PAID FOR

Pack Rat delivered two 16 ft. pods to my home Sept., 2018 in California. Once the pods were packed, they returned for them and shipped them to Carrollton, TX within a few days where they remained in air conditioned storage for 5 months. April, 2019 I called them and both pods were delivered to my new home in Dallas, TX. Two days later they returned for the pick up of the pods. Everyone was always professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They made a stressful move across country seamless. After unpacking over 60 boxes I am happy to report that not one single item was broken. This was due to great packing in California as well as the careful and professional moving of the pods across country. A family member had used Pack Rat to relocate from New York to Texas and have nothing but raves this company. Yes, I would use them and again and will give them as a recco to others.

Wonderful all the way from initial scheduling to picking up the container after the move.
