One day drop off of two containers with same day pick-up. Very accommodating. Will be maintaining me effects in storage for awhile. Looking forward to continuing my relationship with this company. One container had a dent in the roof near the front seam, was told the warehouse would patch. Chose company because the containers are steel and the loading doors opened normal vice PODs style. However, this critique will not let you expand on information: distance approximately 930 miles (VA to FL); cost: around $4120; months of use: will be using for a minimum of 3 months, probably longer and square footage: around 1730 sq ft.

PackRat did an awesome job with dropping off, transporting my furniture and boxes and picking up the containers. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent pre-delivery service. Unit arrived when scheduled. Driver was courteous and very personable. Office staff very supportive.

They delivered the container and picked it up when they said they would. The warehouse calls the day before to confirm and gives you a time frame. Nothing was damaged. The website portal is super easy to use and the customer service rep made things easy, too. My only pet peeve is that I was told they would call when they were on their way, and 3/4 times they called when they arrived and I was scrambling to get things ready. The NJ driver forgot to bring a lock so I had to go buy my own, but I called the company and they reimbursed me for the price. I also didn't need half the amount of space the sales rep sold me. I had a 16' container for a 1br apt and probably would have been fine with the 8' or 12'. Ya live, ya learn. I chose them because they price matched and offered 1 month of free storage. I would use them again. I moved from NJ to TX and needed to store my stuff for 5 weeks while I found a home. I opted to store the container in TX where I was able to access it if needed.

We used 7 cubes to ship ourstufffrom CT to GA. We added 3 cubes along the way as we kept running out of space (we 7nderestimated how much stuff we had!). Packrat was extremely responsive to our requests for last minute additions (3 times!). Steve, the manager at the North Haven facility was exceptionally helpful and responsive. (Thank you Steve). We are just shipping now, but can say that the drivers were all very skilled at dropping the cubes exactly where we wanted them to be positioned. The techn9logy on 5he trucks ensures a gentle lift and placement...even when filled to the brim. We also loved being able to schedule the loads over a few weeks so we could handle much of it ourselves. So far...a really great experience!

I would use Pack Rat again.

The container arrived on time. The 2 men from Hire A Helper / TNT Delivers asked why I did not get 2 containers. I said that I told the person that was helping with my reservation what I needed and I was told that a 15" container would be enough. In actuality I needed 2 containers. I had to rent a 20' U-Haul to take the rest of my mothers belongings. The Pack Rat people were very nice and I would call them again. But now I know what to ask for.

Nice professional delivery & pick-up drivers but when they say "allow up yo 10-working days for delivery", it will be that, no less. And add $50 for delivery/pick-up before noon(?!?).

The delivery/pickup driver was very careful about setting the container in just the right spot on the driveway.

Everett was our initial contact person, and was so helpful and knowledgeable about everything we needed for this long-distance move, even before we secured their services. I can't thank him enough for helping us muddle through this!

This company is on the ball and very in the know of what is going on , no matter who you talk to. They showed up on time drivers are extremely courteous and I will use them forever when I need a container !! Awesome awesome company!!

Good, affordable, but get your own movers other than their recommendations

We picked Pack Rat because they had a cleaner pricing model with what appeared to be less add on expenses. The PODs were clean and the company is large enough to provide climate controlled storage in both our departure and destination city. Overall the experience was uneventful. Pack Rat showed up as requested and provided exceptional customer service.

Organized and convenient, Ted, who is a mastermind scheduler and customer liaison, is the kind of person we all hope to deal with when moving. The drivers have also been great. Special shout out to Feguelson Phadael, Jorge Zaragoza and Madiline Agosto. Three employees who understand what representing your company means.

Our original contract to load our 1400 sqft hone into 2 containers and put in storage for 3-4 months. This contract was for loading and unloading by their staff. The loading portion went flawless and I was very satisfied. During our storage, Pack Rat took over operations and this is when they failed. They terminated the unloading portion of our contract which left me trying to find helpers. They refunded me $400.00 for the inconvenience. My out of pocket cost was much more than that. Only to make matters worse was both containers were to be delivered together and they only sent 1 and after several phone calls they agreed to send the other one the next day, siting manpower issues.

This was the ideal way to move and store my possessions for a couple of months without breaking the bank.

Not sufficient tie downs.

I had some sticker shock, but I think mostly because of inexperience. The customer service experience was very good at every point of contact from the booking agent, to the truck drivers, and everyone in between. Best of all, my things arrived in the same condition as when I loaded them. I had a previous experience with another company that included some water damage near the doors. I think I choose them most of all because their containers seemed the most sturdy and weather safe and they had insurance included in the base cost. I would use this company again.

Placed the container well.

I paid $500 extra to have my belonging expedited over the holidays. I was guaranteed the delivery would be on January 2, 2019. My brother and I waited 6 days in a hotel for the 2 containers to arrive. I had an extra $1,600 added to my moving cost because Pack-Rat could not find a long distance carrier to transport my 2 containers from New Haven, CT to Fort Monroe, VA. I wouldn't us Pack-Rat for another long distance move. I cannot speak about their local service.

Pack Rat showed up on time on both ends of the move, and were helpful with a reschedule of the delivery of the full container. Their container was effective way to move my mother's belonging from AZ to NY. Mom packed it up in AZ, and I coordinated unpacking in NY. The container and local storage option made it easy to schedule convenient dates for loading and unloading. And we even had to move the unload date, and there was no problem in doing so. I would use this company again.

I would have reviewed them as Excellent except there was a delay in delivering the containers. The corporate rep I worked with, Ginger, was indeed excellent.

Everything worked great except not being able to provide an estimated time of arrival.

This was the first (and maybe the last) time I've had so many problems with Pack Rat. They kept charging my account before services were rendered. If I hadn't called the day before, they would've delivered my unit back to where I moved from. Then they charged, I should say overcharged my account. Instead of voiding the payment, they charged what should've been charge before the first amount was credited back. They took too much unnecessary liberty with charging my account.

Pack Rat did a good job of scheduling delivery of our container and picking it up once full. The customer service agents were nice and the drivers were great! The only reason I cannot give them an "Excellent" rating is unfortunately getting our full container delivered to our new location was a nightmare. 1.) They failed to mention that "10 days" really meant "10 business days" (weekends not included). 2.) They didn't advise us that the holidays would cause a delay to the delivery of our container. 3.) I called to request they expedite delivery and they never called back to provide an update. I sent several emails and never received a reply. After several attempts, I finally reached an agent that said my delivery wasn't even scheduled yet, which was surprising as we provided the date a few times. This all resulted in my family moving into an empty home and having to wait over a week to get our things. While it was an adventure "camping" in our new home, it was disappointing given how great the rest of the service was for our long distance move.

We were very pleased with the Pack Rat company and their drivers. We would recommend them.

They were not easy to get in touch with and they were over five days late with my container.

I decided use a 1-800-Pack-Rat container for my move. I'm glad I did! Everyone (person scheduling & the driver) was courteous and professional. They even helped me find last minute movers to load my container when another company I had hired failed to show. 1-800-Pack-Rat did an excellent job transporting my furniture safely from one location to another. I would use this company again. I highly recommend them for your next move!

Everything went well from pick up to delivery. Customer service was helpful with booking at both ends of the move. I’d recommend Pack-Rat and I’d use them again if the arises.

The container was too small for all my property. In order to get another container I would have had to pay double the amount, which I thought was unreasonable. Once I got the 3 bedroom mattresses in, the container was not able to hold a lot. Therefore, I had to sell one of the bedroom sets and leave my sectional behind.

They delivered POD on time with no problems. Drivers were very good.

pods arrive within time quoted, only thing i was disappointed in was that the second pod did not have hooks to attach tiedown straps.
