Everyone I dealt with at 800-packrat was friendly and professional. The pickup and delivery went smoothly and when I opened the container it looked exactly like it did when I locked it up.

Great until they tried to pull a fast one and surprise us with a rate increase 30 days into our storage. They have "made good" and since waived it due to our complaint.

Decent service.....High cost

A clean pod arrived on the day it was required, although 12 shipping blankets were not included as contracted. When I called the office the employee was rude. I ended up incurring additional costs renting blankets from a different company. NO costs were deducted from Pack Rat bill to cover those costs. Field personal were polite and punctual. I will go to another company to complete our move next year.

The customer service people are super nice but 'unable' to accommodate the widely spaced scheduling when called for pick up or delivery. 10 days wait is pretty frustrating when moving 600 miles. In addition, when the pods were finally delivered to the new home, the truck leveler pushed right through my stone walkway. The driver was very apologetic and he n I both took photos, and he said to call, use his name, and they would absolutely take care of it. However, the super pleasant phone reps explained that this meant me printing, completing, and faxing out a claim form along w copies, that I now need to print from my phone, and an estimate, which I now need to obtain from a contractor! That sounds more like me taking care of it than them, right.

Very professional, responsive service. Rented two pods for several months until our new house was built. All pick ups and deliveries went flawlessly and our possessions came back in wonderful condition.

Excellent and very efficient long distance transportation which suited my needs

The booking and the transportation aspects were excellent. The only down side was the containers were a bit beat up and some of our pillows and blankets had to be thrown away because they got moldy. We were never told that we should have placed some kind of non moisture product inside the container.

These people are professional and proficient. They brought in the container, found a spot, and planted it. All in a timely fashion and with amazing capability. Well done, Pack Rat.

The unit was damaged. My partner was the one at home at the time the unit was delivered, not me to inspect and receive it but there was no documentation of the damage on any of the paperwork. I had no idea it was damaged until it was already half loaded.

Everone at pack rat were good to work with.

My relationship with this company has only begun, but thus far I have been very satisfied.

Drop off and pick up were quick and efficient for loading. When unloading, there were issues with a vehicle blocking access. It took a few minutes to find the owner and have the car moved. However, the truck wanted to go fix something and return. The drivers were friendly and helpful. I would use again.

We were on a very tight schedule and had let them know in advance. They gave us a time of between 11:00 am - 12 noon for arrival. I had scheduled the helpers to arrive at 1:00. We called at 1:00 and tey said they had a flat and had to go to another twon to pick up a truck bu would be there at 2:00. They didn't show up until 5:30. We had to cancel the helpers and reschedule them for two days later, which put us behind our schedule. They should have called in advance to let us know there was a problem. Very upsetting.

The whole move went better than expected and we would use Pack Rat again. We will be recommending Pack Rat to friends and neighbors.

Convenient and located right in front of my residence.

Pick-up & delivery of the container was right on time. Calling into speak with customer service was very frustrating on a couple of occasions...the service rep would start quoting & explaining charges that didn't apply to my move. Had they actually read or looked at my account before diving down the rabbit hole...much time would have been saved!

The service in Texas was so poor that I had to lower the rating for this company. Illionis side was great. Texas side did so many mistakes, dispatchers, coordinators were not good. Only saving grace was the drivers were great.

Good communication, one unit was delayed, but the company sent the unit the following day when they said they would.

container capacity was over estimated

A good system if you need to store your belongings for awhile. Parking the containers can be tricky if you have a small driveway or sloped driveway.

The pod was delivered on time by a very courteous driver. Once, filled the driver returned as requested, again on time. The pod is still in transit.

First container unloaded and picked up on time. Placed in a safe place in my driveway, close to the door and very convienent.

Overall it was an okay experience, But after scheduling my container in advance, it never showed up and they told me it was never scheduled. That was extremely stressful, given that the closing of my sold home was happening only 2 days later. Thankfully they were able to resolve the issue. When it arrived at our new home, it looked like it had been shaken a lot, and there was some damage, despite strapping things down prett well, but I expected that with such a long distance move. Customer service was very helpful, and I might use them again because it's a little more cost effective than similar options.

From the first phone call to the second call when I needed another container, everyone was helpful and informative and I was able to get all of the exact dates that I needed for my move. I would most highly recommend PACK-RAT container company

Pod has not arrived yet, but the entire process so far has been great. Professional people to deal with, let us pick up blankets early and overall has been a great easy experience so far.

The Pack Rat people have been nothing but true professionals from start to finish (almost). When we needed an extra container there was no problem, 3rd container. We were just a little short, but was sent the 18 foot container for the same price of a smaller unit (just to be safe). Getting access to our first container was great, the guys at the warehouse were wonderful, had our container out and ready for us when we got there.

I checked out reviews on the moving companies and did not like what I had seen. That is why I checked Pack-Rat and I was not disappointed at all.

Overall, PackRat was super helpful with our move. We filled two containers, one with newer side swinging doors and another with an older overhead roller door. If you get the overhead roller door, be careful not to fill so full that things move and block the door opening area. That happened to us, but the manager in charge came out to help us get it "unstuck" -- he climbed in through a 1 1/2 foot space at the bottom and got everything moved!

The unit is very well built and clean. Herschel, the driver, called first thing in the morning to give me an estimate of deliver time. He called again when he was an hour away. Herschel was very friendly, professional and helpful. He answered all my questions and made sure the unit was exactly were I wanted he. Thank you Herschel!!

VERY HAPPY WITH THEM

The drivers were all great on both ends. However they were a day late picking up our containers due to a truck breaking down. We planned to wait until they were picked up to make sure they were not overweight and thus got delayed in leaving. We did not want to drive to Texas from Ohio and find out we needed to come back and unload if they were overweight limit so we had to stick around. They did still make it to our new home on time.
