The 16 ft container holds alot more stuff than it looks like, when loaded properly (tight also prevents damage). It enabled us to move a 1200 sq ft 2 bedroom condo with alot of furniture important to us a REASONABLE cost versus other options quoted. PackRat provides alot of information at time of booking and during the process, with automated calls and emails. Follow it; they have the process down pat. Container drop off and pickup times varied due to drive schedules but happened the days we asked for. Be very sure to use the weight estimator spreadsheet early in the process to be sure you do not plan to take to much in one container & overload the container in terms of weight (even if there is space).

Reasonably priced for climate control storage and of course the convince of having it in your drive way and them storing it and then redelivering. Great communication and on time deliveries and drop offs. Plan on using again and telling everyone I know about them. Thank-You. : )

Container delivered on time, picked up exactly when we arranged for and they made arrangements to come earlier than originally planned, after our move was completed ahead of schedule. Having a container that we could pack at our convenience was the way to go for us. We would use them again :)

I have only the highest comments regarding the entire experience of moving my belongings and storing them while I house-hunted, from start to finish. I was extremely pleased from the first phone call to discuss the service and costs, until the pod was removed from my final destination. All aspects of the service was performed in a positive, professional and helpful manner. The only damage to any property of mine was done by me, when I dropped items on the floor as I was unpacking. I was so pleased to see that my items were in the exact same position after a 1000 mile move, as they were when I locked the pod after it had been packed at the beginning of the trip. This included moving it for storage in the Tampa warehouse and moving (at no charge) onto the warehouse parking lot to allow me to retrieve some items I needed while the pod was in storage. I would highly recommend them, and already have.

Much easier than driving a truck across the country in the winter. Great company.

Container was delivered on time, was clean and supplied with shipping blankets and a no cut lock. Driver was very professional and took care in placing the container. Pick up was in the time frame requested. Good choice for this move. Would use again.

Good communication with me, did what they said, no surprises (so far! - I'm only 1/2 through my move) Pickups were flawless.

No problems at all in delivery to my house in Sag Harbor, pickup and shipment to Naples, FL., storing there for 1 month then delivering to my new home. All scheduling was accurate and the drivers always called to apprise me of their progress.

They asked to deliver a day early but overall pleased with the container and the delivery person

Pick up and delivery of container was very efficient. Personnel, again, the best! Super nice people, very considerate and customer oriented. Easy coordination to get my box delivered. It was delivered ontime and shimmed up in the back because the driveway is not level. I will use them again next year when I get my follow-on assignement.

Pack Rats was wonderful while scheduling the pods for delivery and pick up at our home in Ohio, BUT, once we wanted then delivered to our new home? What a mess! We were told while still in Ohio that the pods had been moved to TN. But when we called to schedule delivery in TN, we found out they were still in Ohio. It took 4 days of continuous calling before we finally got our pods. Meanwhile, we had to sleep on the floor.

Loved the packrat team. So informed and helpful. It was a great packing and moving day with them helping.

Best option if you need to move and store your goods. The PackRat is a much nicer unit than PODS - the doors open out, not roll up, giving you the full use of interior space. Only complaint is that their sizing guideline is not very accurate. Their site says, "16-foot container typically holds 3-4 rooms of household goods." I had a 2 bedroom house, not overly furnished, and I completely filled the container. I don't think they take into account garages. I would suggest sizing up.

800-Pack-Rat was very easy to use. My only concern, we were assigned a moving coordinator that we never spoke to. Each time I called I received a different person. Not sure why a moving coordinator was assigned when you never actually speak to them. Had it not been for my follow ups, my container may not have reached its destination on time.

Condition of container was clean and the gentleman that dropped it off was friendly and courteous.

The arrangement, drop-off of empty container, pick-up of full container and delivery of full container all went well. I made several changes to the dates early in the process and they handled that well. The day the container was empty and we had finished unloading it, I called them and let them know to come pick up the empty container...they said they'll be here in a week to get it...?...luckily my landlord is letting me leave it in the parking lot...that seems to be an awfully long time to wait for a pickup for the empty container...but other than that the process has gone well.

While they were somewhat efficient, the customer service was lacking.

Truck drivers were very nice and professional, but its a little annoying not to be able to schedule a specific time for the container to be dropped off or picked up.

Dropped off and picked up right on time the same day. Thanks for being prompt and professional. The container is built with higher quality than the competition. Would reccomend to anyone.

The Pack Rats were very convenient, and pricing is fair. The only reason they did not receive five stars is because the tie-downs are not adequate, and many times I would leave messages for my representative to call me back, and he would not return my call.

Used Packrat because of my narrow driveway that PODS could not accommodate because of the width of their loading/unloading equipment. Packrats trucks worked great and the 4 steel shelled containers kept my belongings safe and dry for 2 months. Very courteous sales, operations and drivers. They seem to be a well kept secret to many people, but are definitely worth using. I would recommend to everyone.

I only wish the container was newer. It had many holes and look very old and tired, and used up. They need to update containers badly. I have not unloaded it yet and I am worried about moisture getting in......

Price reflects TWO 16' metal shipping containers going from NJ to Florida - It met my expectations (Good Review). [It's not like they show up w/ roses. It's a metal box]

Everyone was very polite. There was an issue w/ a latch not having been hooked properly prior to the pick up, but they fixed the problem for us and provided new locks and keys. The storage containers were dry and kept upright. The cost was reasonable, especially compared to PODS. I would highly recommend them.

I would not use Pac Rat again. They advertise convenience, but it was anything but that. When we requested a time to deliver the containers they said it could not be scheduled for that day, they chose a day convenient for them. We were not allowed to change the pick up day. However, they didn't pick up the containers on the day scheduled or the next day or the next day. This went on for 5 days, with us being told each day it would be picked up. The men who brought and picked up the containers were quite pleasant. Basically, there was NO CUSTOMER SERVICE OR CONVENIENCE. I would definitely not use this company or recommend them to anyone. Also, extremely expensive for the service. P
