Unbelievably difficult to deal with given they do nothing but provide containers and move them. Customer service is horrible. They delivered the PODs to the wrong warehouse; covered the cost of a truck to move the contents of one POD, but refused to cover labor costs involved in the unloading, loading, and driving to get our belongings to our residence. Probably the last time we'll even think about PODs, let alone use them.
PODS started out just fine. On time pick up and delivery. Called before they came etc. The PODS driver out of Greenville, NC did not call, was rude and disrespectful of me and the company he worked for, and made the last part of my move a nightmare. I would never even consider using this company again. A well organized company... at the mercy of the employees it hires.
Wound up using pods three times - first to declutter to sell my house, second for the main move, and third because I underestimated how much stuff I had! They were always on time and went out of their way to help me out of a bind when I realized I needed a third pod. Everything now in storage til my house is built.
I rented the largest size 16', but unfortunately it still wasn't big enough. We ended up having to store some stuff elsewhere. The POD is advertised that it will hold 3 to4 rooms, but that does not take into account the boxes. Being aware of this now will help me decide if this would be an option in the future.
PODS service was excellent. The flexibility of packing the container over time reduced some of the stress of moving. The men who delivered and picked up the pod in NJ and FL were courteous, always called to let me know when they were coming and professional. I would recommend PODS to anyone who is moving. The company is run with an attention to detail and focused on consumer needs. I was very satisfied!
Delivery and pick up of containers was on time and no issues. Web site and customer service were a problem. Site was down often. I could not update my address in the system. Calls to customer service number did not address issues. Entered delivery to new home location on line. System defaulted to original pick-up address. Did not get my container till over two weeks later after getting delivery address straightened out with a customer service rep.
