pod itself was good. a little expensive but it was cross country from the NYC area. I am disappointed in the breakage that occurred - looks like one column of boxes shifted and fell down to destroy the curio and 1 china tote box. Luckily the contents of the box only had slight damage (a few pieces broken) but the grandfather clock, fish tank, antiques were all safe.

I chose PODs so we could pack at our pace, no mad rush to jam it all in a rental truck on move day. We also needed to have our belongings stored for a month during our reno. Pricing about the same for renting a storage space, so with the convenience of it parked in the driveway it made it easy and stress free. Scheduling was quick, customer service very helpful, the drivers were pros - impressed with their ability to park the pod in tight spots! Great communication throughout the process.

PODs' has been a mixed bag. I think they are really good value storage and moving (since the pick up and delivery were free for me an included redelivery and pick up during the time things were stored. The downside is their online scheduling never worked once. The other things they did was move their entire facility with no notice to me. Seriously, I had them put my Pods out for access and went to the warehouse and they were no longer there. I called their 800 number and they didn't even know they weren't there. Long story short that was a pretty big pain, plus, not knowing they were going to take my container somewhere, I hadn't strapped everything down for moving. Anyway, overall, they were good and I'd use them again.

My experience with PODS was awful. When I placed my order, I told them I would be getting movers at 11am on a Saturday, and they said I should be fine because PODS picks up in the evenings. When I received my window for 9am-12pm that Saturday, I tried to move it but was told that they didn't even have the drivers phone number. The company is super inefficient and I would never use them again.

Moved and stored our POD for 3 months! Moved from Georgia to Nevada. Had to store our belongings for 3 months while looking for our new home. Turned out great! Everyone communicated with us about pickup times and cost. No surprises at the end. People were courteous and on time. Great choice especially for long moves. Would use and recommend to friends and family.

This was the perfect option to move our daughter's Moved a small one bedroom apt. from LA to Atlanta. The customer service on both ends was exceptional. The PODS drivers were very accommodating especially considering the end delivery location was a tight fit for their trucks. I would definitely use this service again.

I wasn't happy when I was given information by the sales dept. that was not accurate about delivery times. When I booked I was given a three hour span for delivery, and a three hour span for same day pick-up. Using those times I booked a co. To help me pack the pod. The night before I get a message telling me a completely different time line. Then to top it off, the pick-up time span started even before the might have delivered it. Craziness! They were unable to make adjustments to the time. ?? That being said the delivery guy kept me informed.! Was right on time, and super pleasant to work with..

PODS picked up and generally delivered within the timelines established during our call. The reason I didn't rate them as a 5 star provider is because they seem to be a bit behind the times relative to tracking. On several occasions they couldn't tell me where my container was. What is so hard about placing a tracking device with the container.

Booking, pickup and delivery all went very smoothly. I only needed a 7 foot POD container for the selected items I moved.

My POD showed up on time, within the window provided (I had the city service so the container was on a flatbed truck while I had movers load it). It was really easy for me to coordinate the delivery of my POD with the movers I hired to load it. After it was loaded up, they took my container straight away to be moved across country. So far a very stress-free process!

I have used PODS for a previous move and it worked well, so I used them again. The drop-off and pick-up guys were great.

Great option for moving, especially for long distances

The move is still in progress right now, but the container was delivered on time, and in good condition. They were also very flexible when I needed to make scheduling changes.

This was the most economical choice after reviewing other options with the exception of renting a U-Haul and driving my goods up myself.

My pod was supposed to have the 10 blankets and lock that I had purchased inside it. I had to run to hardware store and buy items while the movers were on the clock and couldn't load up. I asked for compensation, I was given a $25 credit, which was something. Had the movers needed more time it would have cost me an additional $60. What got me mad the most was the voice mail from the driver telling me he dropped off the container with the blankets and lock inside. Did he really check they were in there before leaving the warehouse? Made for an extra aggravating day on top of regular moving stress.

I was given misinformation with regard to how much space was needed to deliver the container and next to no support via phone or email thereafter. All in all, a horrible experience.

I used PODS to pack, store and deliver my household goods over a seven-month period. Every aspect of my experience was positive, including revisions to my order due to delays in home construction. Each person I worked with was very professional, experienced, cordial and helpful - from the telephone customer service to the delivery truck drivers. I chose PODS over a regular freight mover because of their climate controlled storage facility, their good reputation, and their competitive pricing and would definitely use them again. My experience in trying to nail down a regular mover was very disheartening. The bid process was horrible in that nothing was straight forward or fully and honestly disclosed and often a huge deposit was required along with agreement to impractical contract requirements and liabilities. Dealing with PODS was refreshing and a fully transparent transaction and process.

The only reason I gave PODS two stars is the drivers who picked up and dropped off the container--they were on time, called ahead, and great to work with. But the company did not deliver as promised--transport was quoted as 10 days, then I got a call that delivery would be 5 days late. It raised the cost of the move significantly, as I had to pay for 5 additional days of food and lodging. Their excuse was weather, but the auto transport service I used got here in 8 days--even beating the promised delivery date by a day--so PODS' explanation isn't credible. Communication was mediocre, using emails and recorded messages that were ambiguous. I would not use them again, and would recommend others look elsewhere.

The driver that delivered my full POD placed it on a small slope. I could not open my POD for 3 hours (in which I had hourly movers waiting to access and move) The driver promised to return to help me open my POD in one hour, which was really 3 hours. The same guy came the next day to pick up the POD after we had unloaded it. He hit my neighbors stone wall and knocked a bunch of it down (we witnessed it) and then denied doing it. I filed a claim with PODS and they told me they would contact me regarding the claim within 72 hours and they did not follow through with as promised.

The POD was delivered on time and set up just as I requested. The POD will stay in my driveway (with my furniture inside) until we are done with our remodel. The staff that did the booking and the delivery were very helpful and professional.

Much cheaper than using a moving company. Some of my stuff did not survive. It will be interesting to see if they give me anything in terms of compensation for damaged items.

The service itself is great, but scheduling days for drop-off/pick-up can be rough since with some moves you can't know the exact day far enough in advance.

the POD was too small, I think it needs to be explained better, and they forgot my lock. They said one pod should be more than adequate, I had to haul a Uhaul 12x6 trailer behind my truck, wasn't too happy about that

They had great customer service and pods were delivered on time and plaves where I asked. Friendly and helpful employees.

PODs is a good way to go. Freeing up parking spots on both sides is hard in an apartment. I wish I could schedule the drop off/pickup times with a little more precision.

Everything worked out great. PODs are great option to consider.
