Excellent!!! I had email and phone confirmation of eta for PODS container delivery the night before. The driver called the morning of to say he was on his way and would arrive within 15 minutes which he did. The initial delivery was seamless and the driver very professional and cautious about placing plywood to guard against tearing up the grass or damaging a sprinkler head off the driveway. Great service!!!
The driver who installed the 2 pods into our driveway took extreme care to avoid damaging our property as our one driveway was not wide enough to bring the pod fully into position. But his expert judgement allowed the pod to be perfectly placed and balanced at just the right angle to allow the pod to sit at the far end of the driveway but out of the way of street traffic
Two improvement areas. 1) the screws holding the floor boards down weren't screwed all the way making it difficult to slide items. i understand vibrations cause this but perhaps a better design should be considered 2) we needed a permit for parking the POD in the street and when I called to set up delivery the customer service person was ignorant of this fact and told us that we either had to park it in the grass or come pick up the items from the storage facility.
Delivered and picked up as needed. There were several additional expenses involved which kicked up my total bill to better than $3100.00. This seems a little expensive since the cost to send the POD costs $1565.00. Rental for two months was $606.00. I will have to take a hard look at what I really need in order to use PODS again.
Transportation method: Excellent Container condition: Very Good Price Comparison vs U-Haul (driving truck): Cheaper! I would use them again. Drivers were friendly and helpful. The driver that unloaded the POD at my destination helped me when I made a mistake with which side the door needed to be on! BIG HELP!!
We used PODS to load up our house outside of DC when we put our house on the market. We were able to declutter our house and load about half of our belongings and have the pod removed while we showed it. Then we had it brought back and finished filling it before having it brought to Florida. Everyone I dealt with was professional and helpful from the phone staff to the drivers. It was a great way to move. I would do it again
Arrived 4 days late. Contents were in excellent condition. Cause of delay was mechanical failure of the truck en route. PODS manager Courtney called us personally to discuss options due to the delay. She offered to reimburse for hotel or air mattress purchase (although she did NOT have to based on the contract we signed with PODS). We had to open a claim to get this personalized attention and it took 2 days to be assigned a case manager. We are going to submit our receipt for the air mattress and Courtney is supposed to follow up with us today. We'll see what happens...
I would rate PODS excellent on every aspect of our move. From initial phone contact to the removal of the empty POD 2 months later. I called several times making adjustments to the order and was always impressed with their telephone etiquitt. In every case the order changes were made flawlessly. The POD was taken from our house to the local depot where we accessed it on 4 occasions. We called the day before and it was always ready for us the following day. Dennis in your Oaks, PA depot did an excellent job every time and helped us when we encountered a problem with our straps. He obviously takes pride in his job. Two months and 1200 miles later we are happy with your service.
The customer service people could not have been any less helpful than they were. All 4 of the people I spoke with in regards to having my POD delivered back to me quoted a different dollar amount due. The POD was delivered almost 3hrs past the time I was told but with the service I had been receiving I anticipated this and scheduled my movers for later. I would have to have to be desperate to use these people again.
