PODS was great and I wouldnt hesitate using them again. Only SLIGHT complaint would be 1 of 3 pods was different inside (different cargo hooks/walls/floor). Wasn't a big deal but it was the final POD and it changed my gameplan a bit. Great service, easy to change delivery/pickup when needed. They were great at communicating and really made this easy. This was the biggest move we've ever done and PODS was great. No unexpected surprises, friendly drivers, careful and quick
I really liked their service in that it allowed me to move and store all my items at one time. My only issue was that you don't get a drop-off/pickup time for your container until the night before, making it difficult to schedule movers. It ends up being a three day process for each PODS home delivery (day of delivery, day of unloading, day of pickup). With a smaller driveway and non on-street access, this was frustrating.
PODs made life really easy by letting us pack our own stuff and move at our own pace. The best parts for us, though, was that when we were running late and had to reschedule the pick up of our POD, they worked with us and rescheduled at no cost because the truck hadn't arrived yet. Do to the coronavirus we weren't able to move into an apartment immediately as planned, but since we had family living nearby, we were able to store the POD on their property till we had a place to move into properly. The whole thing has made this experience way less stressful than it might have been.
The pod arrived between the The suggested time. Unfortunately no one informed me that I had to schedule the day for the pick up so my pod had to stay on the street for almost a week before it was picked up. Customer service need to give out more information especially if you already stated that you want the pod stored at pod’s storage site! Thanks
PODS was a godsend this time around. The initial delivery was right within the 3-hour window, the driver was great, and the POD was clean and ready to go. Likewise the pickup at the front end. I changed my delivery location by a few miles, which added to the price because of the change in warehouse delivery, but that was clearly explained by customer service. The agent who helped me arrange my final delivery and same-day pickup was great to work with and made sure that all my questions and all the questions of the warehouse manager were answered. The team that delivered and picked up today were just delightful to work with. They made sure the door would open (no small feat thanks to one corner of one piece that shifted an inch in transit!) and were back to pick up well within my allotted window at the apartment complex.
The container and truck were fine. The customer service was awful. I was sold the idea that the truck/container would be there at a certain time (2:30PM), but when I called day of around that time they said the truck actually had a 3 hr window. HOW CAN SOMEONE SCHEDULE MOVERS WITH A WINDOW LIKE THAT!!! Thankfully it arrived only an hr late, and the movers were very proactive and got a lot done without a truck, but that did mean alot of our stuff was in the street/sidewalk under no cover with an impending rainstorm NOT GREAT.
