PODS. When provided information on how many room, size of home said only needed 1-16 ft. I ordered 2 after talking to friend who had used pods before. When I placed the order the agent ended up doing the order 3 times before getting it correct, on the phone for over an hour. When pods delivered one pod still had multiple boxes that were left and they did not have the blankets that was on the order. When contacting pods about the boxes and no blankets. Spent another 45 minutes with agent who was trying to get a area manager. Was told they would have the pod with the empty boxes removed and another pod brought out. I was unable to convince the agent that that would be difficult to do because there was another pod in front of it, to just send someone out to pick up all the boxes and bring the blankets. Was told an urgent email sent out and I would be contacted in the morning. I had to call next morning and was told that no one had received an urgent email. Area supervisor contacted me and I explained again why it would be difficult to replace the pod with the empty boxes. So the only constellation was that he listened and was didnt have to switch out the pod and brought me some extra blankets.
This review would be 'poor' however the loaders on the front end did an excellent job. When our delivery POD driver at our destination arrives at the warehouse he was told our POD was not there. We had online confirmation it was. After losing our reservation with our helpers to unload the POD was finally delivered and we were told the warehouse manager never answered his phone to help our driver locate the POD. As a result we had a horrible experience with Hire A Helper and TMD Moving which resulted in 24 hours of lost time, which we could not afford to lose. Get it together and communicate with your drivers!
The POD itself was the right size, clean. Came on time and they took it away early for me since I didn't need it anymore. Drivers were courteous and extremely efficient. Due to my error, a tree branch was broken when the POD was brought down the driveway but it was low and I should have cut it before they came.
The 1st 16 ft POD leaked rain water into my loaded POD. Half my belongings were soaked and my family pulled everything out to dry, unbox everything, rebox all, dry cloths, throw away books, buy more boxes, etc. PODS only switched the container and told me I had to do a claim. Impossible, because my family did the unload while I was on the phone for 2 & 1/2 hours trying to get POD to take responsible for the roof damaged POD the originally sent me. POD told me at the end of the 2 & 1/2 telephone call that I had to photograph every damaged box and the contents. CRAZY, my family had unloaded it and corrected the damage while I was stuck with customer service on the phone which cut me off 2 times and I had to start all over a 3ed time my name, address, problem, on Sunday, Labor Day wkend with no trained customer srv and putting me on hold for 10 minutes at a time. CLAIM.? Who has time to do a claim like that when they are selling a house, have a closing to go to and MUST get their belongings out of the house. The fact that I had to do that and PAY PODS for the inconvenience and the torture of my family having to remove everything. REALLY.! PODS should not charge me for the 2nd POD or they should send my family checks for fixing the problem they created by sending me an obviously water damaged POD that the repair was never tested. It is impossible to believe the money this cost me and the trouble -- PODS ruined my move and caused me another week of work cuz my family had to leave. I weigh 110 lbs & am 71 yrs old. I had to do it all myself. I suffered dehydration, exhaustion, brain fog and could barely walk to go close on my house. I had to stay in a motel for 5 days before I could even drive.
DROPPED CONATIER IN STREET-- I CALLED THEM SEVERAL TIMES AND COULD REACH A MANAGERS, CUSTOMER SERVICE COULDNT REACH WAEHOUSE STAFF, IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH DRIVED WHEO DROPPED CONATCINER- VOICE MAIL WAS FULL, SEND A TEXT-- NO ONE RESPONDED PODS COULD NOT REACH DRIVER, PODS PROMISED TO OPEN AN INCIDENT RESPOT AND CALL ME NEXT DAY----- THE DIDNT DO THAT EITHER, CUSTOMER SERVICE HIT ADN MISS- GOT A FEW CSRS THAT WERE WILLING TO HELP CALLING WAREHOUSE AND EMAILING MANAGERS-- WHO DIDNT RESPOND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL AND NO RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENTY!!!! PODS SAID THAT THEY WOULD ARRIVE ON CERTAIN DAY-- I WAITED AROUND ALL DAY hAD MY OWN STUFF TO DO -- HOLDINGA PARKING SPOT FOR A COMPANY THAT DIDNT SHOW UP !!!! THEY ALSO FAILED TO MAKE A CALL THEH PREVIOUS NIGHT TO LET ME KNOW WHEN THE WINDOW OF ARRIVAL WAS-- THEY SAID THEIR COMPUTERS WHERE DOWN ( AGAIN) EITHER WAY THEY CAUSED ME TO MISS MOVERS I HAD SCHEDULED -- TWO WEEKS EARLIER, KEEPINGS FUNDS ON MY CAD TIED UP! PODS HAS NOT CALLED BACK TO DISCUSS ISSUE , NO EXPLANATION AS TO WHY MY CONTENTS WHERE LEFT IN A INSECURE LOCATION --- ON STREET PODS CAUSED ME TO LOOSE MOVER FOR THE DATE I HAD SCHEDULE ----- SEVERAL CALLS TO TO THEM TO MOVE CONTAINER EXTREAMLY UPSET WITH PODS HAVE BEEN TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT ,YEXPERENCE AND WELL AS THEIR LACK OF FOLLOW UP AND CONCERN ON ISSUE,
