Wonderful service during a difficult moving situation with frequently changing dates and periods of storage. Pods were clean, great preservation of a large house's contents in 3 Pods (6 months to 3 months storage for individual pods) transportation over 1500 miles. This company has the best customer service we have ever had the pleasure of working with. Friendly, clear, helpful, efficient, always available to make changes, etc. Cannot get better! We will absolutely use their services again. PODS's broader services in advice, and in providing choices of local companies for the auxiliary services were very much appreciated
I used PODS because of the cost compared to regular cross-country movers. The drivers that droped off/picked up the POD at both locations were great. On time and very helpful if placing the POD the way my HOA required. PODS also stored my container for about 2-3 weeks until I was ready for delivery. I'd use this type of mover again and will recommend it to anyone I know that's moving.
We had a complicated move as our furniture and belongings were going to several places (one place being completely cross country) and some needed to be stored for several months. We used a local mover to move some items and then they packed our pod with items that were going the longer distance. The pod was delivered on time. Clean and placed in our driveway in the location we requested. It was picked up on our requested date and were notified of the time window for pickup a day in advance. The pod was stored locally. Which meant we had access to it if needed, until we requested it’s delivery to our cross country location. Again , we were kept informed of delivery window. The pod arrived with the delivery window given and placed on the street in front of our home. Our driveway is steep and the pod would have blocked the sidewalk which is why we requested the street placement. Our city required a permit for street placement and we secured that ahead of time. Once the pod was empty, we requested pickup and it was completed within 2 days, again within the given window time frame. The pod delivery people and everyone we spoke to on the phone were all efficient. Overall, a very good experience.
Good communication regarding delivery and pick-up. Tried to increase insurance before the first POD was loaded and couldn't because it had been delivered, but was empty at that point. Caused a lot of needless red tape separating orders, adjusting pricing, etc. Increased my stress level which was already pretty high. Then I got an email shortly after the POD was picked up saying my customer advocate wanted to talk to me about my POD "incident". I thought the POD fell off the truck or something with not enough insurance. I called in a panic and couldn't get the guy who sent the email, but was told he wanted to talk to me about the insurance concerns. Have to wait til Monday, now, since this all happened on Friday.
Excellent so far... the customer service and ease of working with PODs in person over the phone and on their site page worked well. The POD arrived at it's first destination and in the position requested. The estimated size was perfect and exactly what we needed. We'll be moving the POD a few more times so we'll be interested on how the packed POD arrives at each destination and if everything arrives in tacked and little movement occurred due to proper packing. So far, so good.
I was very disappointed in the service I received from POD company. They were on time with the delivery but did not place where I requested and POD delivered was damaged - so much so I could not close the door. I spent hours on the phone with their customer service trying to convince them I needed a replacement. I even sent them pictures. This was a Friday and my movers were coming the next morning - I was frantic. The response I received was they could replace the POD if I rented a larger one and of course it was more expensive. I finally got results after becoming a squeaky wheel - I called every hour on the hour telling them to pick it up as I could not use in the condition it was in. They finally sent someone to replace the POD. I would not use them again.
