Had a problem with car carrier. Fender had been bolted together and bolts cut into tire and shredded it. Held us up a day waiting for replacement carrier.

Dangerously bad steering on the 26 foot truck I rented.

overall good service, they tried to rent me a trailer with a broken emergency brake and had to do it all over again.

Penske stepped up when Budget failed to deliver the vehicle I had reserved. And it was at a better price for better equipment. Avoid Budget, go with Penske.

Will never use Uhaul again. Penske was amazing.

Great moving company. When Budget did not come through and called me the day of moving to say they didn't have a truck, I was furious and Penske stepped up to help me.

this may be normal for a loaded truck pulling a car carrier but it had trouble going up an incline even tho it was a diesel. would loose speed going up a highway normal grade

Picking up the truck was quick & efficient with no surprises. I asked to add two dozen moving blankets during pickup and was glad they could supply them for me last minute. The 26' truck was clean and had just been serviced including new front tires. We drove it for three days without any problems at all. I'll be using Penske Truck the next time I move.

The truck was 90 minutes late. The car carrier was missing a piece, we had to exchange for another one. They were a mess.

I can't say enough about how great Rafael and Raymond were with the truck rental. We reserved the truck in April and were to pick it up on the Monday of Memorial Day weekend. A week before, Penske realized the business where the truck was to be picked up would be closed. They gave us two extra days and when the truck we ordered wasn't available, they gave us the next size up, for no additional charge. The truck did have one problem with the front end alignment in that it pulled hard to the right and I had to constantly pull the wheel to the left for almost 1500 miles. I have no doubt a previous renter hit a curb, throwing the alignment off and didn't report it or understand the cause and effect to the truck. That said, the truck otherwise performed fine and the extra footage was well used. Penske was the most affordable, in one case by almost two-thirds. They also have great discounts available. One is a twelve percent discount for a AAA membership that not only paid for the insurance but I've used the AAA membership twice since joining. I have already recommended Penske to a family member who ordered a 24 foot truck for her upcoming move. I will use Penske for any and all future rental needs.

Clean truck, brand new with only 600 miles on it.

A 26-footer is tough to drive but it did the job. This old body suffered but I made it and truck did well.

After our Uhaul reservation cancelled and left us without transportation 5 days prior to our move, Penske came through for us!

Great guys to work with. They missed a few details. Didn’t provide the moving equipment I requested and gave me the wrong address to return the truck.

Two days before my move they said they couldn't meet the contract commitment. I was very upset but ultimately they made things better than the original contract. Because my move took much longer than anticipate I had to return the truck later than contracted. I had a significant problem returning the truck just before an 11 pm commitment but, then again they resolved the problem to my satisfaction. I wouldn't have thought that was possible at the time. I rated a 4 rather than a 5 because of the problems. I would use them again because of the way they handled the problems.

Clean new trucks, easy to talk to.

The truck was exactly what we needed - however the pick up process was a bit lax - no mileage was noted, and no walk around was done. We had to go back inside to the counter to point out that the bumper had major damage so it could be marked on the paperwork before we took the truck. Then we were unsure how much gas we needed to put back in. The information in the computer reflected only ¾ full but our paperwork didn’t say that so we filled it all the way which we didn’t need to do.

Penske never disappoints. Trucks are clean and are available when i show up. Will never use anyone but Penske for DIY moves.

Great truck..26" handled 3 bedrooms and sports equipment great .. used full tow dolly for a 450 mile trip. No issues and very comfortable driving for 8 hours. The unlimited mileage and 4 full days to move were a big plus. I definitely will use penske again.

We made it safe and sound with no issues at all. Driving the truck was the easiest part of the move! We will only use Penske for any future moves.

I needed a one-way rental truck for my move and Penske is fantastic for this! Got a new truck for my move and was able to find a Penske near my house in MD where I moved from and one near my NYC apartment where I moved to.

Said truck would be ready at 6AM, and Home Depot was open, but they hadn't assigned a truck to me and had to wait until 7AM to get one.

The moving truck was the 16 foot truck since I did not have to move as much furniture as is typical of a 4 BR house. The size of the truck was adequate and the customer service was adequate. I actually picked the truck up at a Home Depot store and the personnel at the store helped me with whatever I needed. My only issue was after handling everything online there was some confusion about when I requested the truck rental since the store personnel didn't actually see the request until days later. I recommend calling the store after making the online request to ensure the information the store or business you will pick up at is aware of the request.

Truck was ready on time and had all the supplies, I've used them b4 and this experience was the same.

Could not have asked for anybody better than Kinny and John. They arrived the early part of their arrival time and immediately went to work unloading. They were very professional, friendly and courteous. There were careful with the boxes marked fragile and getting items into the house. If we ever have have a need for anything to be moved will be asking for them. Thank you Hire A Helper for hiring such professional individuals.

Truck was clean and just been serviced, no damage. Only 20,000 miles on it. No issues except the poor gas mileage, but I guess that’s expected.

The truck was clean, fueled and ready for us as scheduled. We realized we could have used a smaller truck than reserved but wouldn't be guaranteed a smaller truck would be available so we kept the reservation for the 26' truck. It was slow going as the monster truck wouldn't go over 68 mph on the freeway and slowed considerably on hills. Another point to consider is the height of the deck which requires a long ramp. The truck had be parked out into the street for unloading to fully extend the ramp. Again, smaller would have been better.

The Penske truck was new, well maintained and was plenty large for our needs

Twenty six foot truck, 179K on speedometer. Wasn't able to get up to speed on interstate with out shimming starting at 55mph. I believe it was a mechanical issue not tires. In addition I did not check tires when I picked truck up from Home Depot. Store rental person checked truck. My fault for not checking until after truck was loaded. Both rear outboard tires were chipped and had slices in them. In my opinion they should have been replaced. I should have requested a different truck. Only truck that size at Home Depot that I reserved. Overall not satisfied. Would recommend picking truck up at Penske Center.

Truck was not safely drivable. Had to get my ride to come back & drive me across town for new truck. Did not have my requested 22 foot smaller truck. Replacement truck across town was very hard to shift in gear. Also the mirror would move back out and you had to lean all the way back in the seat to see out of it. Dirty with food on the floor too. Report said no damage on first truck though there was multiple scratches, dents, and spots on the truck. Take pictures before renting and test drive to make sure it does not jump up & down with suspension problems & have loose steering components like the first truck had. It had 140k miles on it. Received 10% off for the issues included on final price listed below.

Penske Truck Rental saved the day! Our move was from California to Washington, so it was no easy task. We had booked a reservation previously with another truck rental company, but upon arrival the day of our move day, the previous company did not follow the contract and gave us a cargo van (instead of a moving truck). After a stressful morning of cancelling the previous moving company truck rental and scrambling to find another, Penske was so friendly, patient and helpful with our last minute rental. They moved up the pickup time to accommodate our timeline with no hesitation, and the staff that we worked with over the phone to book the truck as well as the staff member who assisted us with the confirmation process during pickup were incredibly friendly and helpful. We are lifetime customers to Penske now! 10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone.
